WIP

Hello everyone 💗 I can't sleep tonight so I've been messing with the first of the framed butterflies, I've made the frame and put the first butterfly inside, the monarch. Preview above, apologies for the very yellow lighting in my game at the moment. I'm just looking at the frame in game and trying to decide if it needs any further edits (thickness of the frame, mostly). There are 5 frame swatches which I will add for all of the butterflies. How do we feel about the black velvet background?

Update (Tuesday afternoon):
Added the Agrias butterfly. Looking at this one even more so the black velvet background looks too dark. So I am going to figure out a second background swatch to add to these for the butterflies that have black in their wings. If anyone has any suggestions for that I am all ears!
Update (late Tuesday night):
Added the Atlas Moth, and it's huge! I've been adjusting the frame sizes to fit the butterflies as if they are custom-made frames for a special hobby or a museum display. I've also taken a screenshot of all 5 frame swatches shown above. I'm still planning on adding a second type of background for all of them (so will have a total of 10 swatches each) that is lighter for the inside objects that have a lot of black, as you can see with the Agrias butterfly especially.

Update (Wed. morning):
Added the Queen Alexandra's Birdwing, then I added a second background (light colored parchment) option for the ones I've made so far.
Update (Wed before noon):
Added the Rajah Brooke's Birdwing, and added an inner shadow to all of the frames on the parchment image.
Update (Wed. afternoon):
We are at 10 framed butterflies as of now, the Common Bluebottle, Emperor butterfly, Great Purple Emperor, Madagascar Sunset moth, and Paper Kite butterfly. I've got to take a break to make sure our place doesn't fall too much into disarray, I will get back to our set later tonight if I have the energy, and hoping to post everything tomorrow.

Update (Thursday early morning):
I woke up at 2:30 AM this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, so I've been enjoying working on the rest of our set. All 15 butterflies are now in their frames, and then I went back and added shadow meshes behind the butterflies so that there is a small shadow, because to me they looked really bright and not natural. Then, I started making some trios of butterflies in long frames, there are 3 different ones, and they have the same frame colors and background types. I still have a couple more items I'd like to add and we'll make it an even 20 items.
Update (Thursday morning):
Added 2 more items, 2 frames with 2 objects inside. There are a total of 20 framed butterfly (and moth) wall decor objects. I just need to get preview pics for the post, but this morning I'm also helping my partner bring boxes up from the cellar. I can't remember if I mentioned it but we thought the renovations were done and then they sent a notice that they are also going to be replacing the windows in the cellar, which is just hallways with storage rooms for the apartments. So we have to clear it out 🙄 Our post will be up later today once that is out of the way. I hope everyone is having a nice Thursday! 💗
