Hey everyone! I spent the majority of last night collecting the needed files, and improving the image textures where I could. Here is the first item for the wedding stuff: the arch. It is functional, your sims can get married at this arch. I've added 2 more swatches as well. The poly number for this item is 4293. My next update here will be a bit later today, as I have a lot of chores that I have to get done today IRL before it gets late = too dark & cold outside. (I don't drive, so I walk to my supermarket, that is the more pleasant of my IRL tasks for the day) I hope you all are having a nice day! ππβοΈ
Update (Friday evening):
Added the pew bench, Get Together is required for this item in order to allow the flowers to have transparency. I set up a little chapel building to display things, the walls and floor are stand-ins right now until I get those made too. Some of the "wedding" items have already been made for other sets. The rose rug is from the Harvest Set 2, and the flower displays for the floor and wall is from the Valentine's Day Set, the welcome board and decorative plate are also in that set. The pipe organ (not pictured, I forgot to place it) is in the Halloween Set.
Update (continued):
Added the chair. Also added extra swatches.
Update (continued):
Added the door decor of the welcome heart.
Update (Saturday early afternoon):
Added the ring pillow, and the walls. The walls have a window swatch and a bricks only swatch for each color. I added an extra one with purple windows.
Update (Saturday early afternoon):
Added the bell, and cake decor #1. There are 3 cake swatches, all 3 have their own bump and specular maps (they give detail for shadows, indentations, and shine) to go with their unique design, so they are going to be 3 separate objects. I added 2 extra swatches to cake #1.
Update (Satuday afternoon):
Added cakes #2 and #3, with extra swatches for both. #3 has a Christmas-y swatch because it could be useful for a big Christmas party too, and this swatch has orange slices on it, which also goes with the season.
Update (Saturday early evening):
Added the 3 candles, they are individual items to allow for more variety in their use. Added the long table. Added extra swatches for each.
Update (Saturday evening):
Added a dancefloor, it has 5 different swatches.
Update (Sunday early evening):
After nursing a bad headache I've been working on the tile floor. The original image texture is all one big image like with the Dodo Airlines floor (shown above), so I've been messing with the cropping and trying to put it on the TS4 floor tile in a way that will make sense. Above is where it is at right now, the plain tiles look normal, I have to adjust the middle area's size (and add another tile, the middle is too small) so that the design proportions match up. As you can see above the lines are also pointing the wrong way for this room but that is an easy fix. There are 3 colors for this floor, there will be quite a few swatches in order to place it for any room and it will look correct. After I get the floor working properly, I have the square table to make, the original item has a lot of clutter on it, attached to it. I will liberate those things and make the table empty for use.
Update (Sunday evening):
Progress on the floor, I need to make one more swatch for each color that will go in the "middle of the middle" as shown above. It's like a little puzzle.
Update (late Sunday night):
After making dinner/cleaning up/preparing for a maintenance visit, I finally got the floors to look nice. Above there are 2 images, one to show an extra swatch set. They needed a lot of going back and adding/adjusting things, since the original texture is one big image. I cut it into pieces to make it work, and added an edited middle area to make it fit like it should with the arch width. I want to take a little time at the end to add at least one more swatch set in order to match the rest of the additional color combinations that I've been adding to the objects, that will be a quick task. Then there is the big table, the table clutter objects for liberating, and decluttering the table to be functional. I am also going to go back to the Valentine's Day set to add at least one more swatch for the flower decor items, so that things can match nicely, & I'll update those downloads when they are done π I hope everyone is having a nice end to their weekend. I will hopefully be finishing and posting this set tomorrow πππ
Update (Monday afternoon):
Added the 2 additional swatch sets that I wanted to for the floors. It's always a little intimidating, splitting the large image up and getting it to go together where it will look nice, so I'm very glad to say that one is finished and looking good. Next I started on the big dining table, I decluttered it and have the meshes aside for making them their own clutter items. The table is for dining (both tables in this set allow for dining) and fits 4 chairs, it's a larger table so I adjusted the slots that the sims use for sitting, eating, etc. It turned out quite cute! Also extra swatches added to this table.
Update (Monday early evening):
Added the candles, there are 3 heights, so there are 3 candles, and the flowers for the table. All extra swatches added. I believe all that is left are the table setting and wine glasses, then I will move on to updating the flower items from the Valentine's Day set that go with these. I will probably add some extras watches to the welcome board as well because its fun to have lots to mix or match. Almost done!
Update (Monday night):
Added the rest of the table clutter, and added more slots to the table. Then I went and added the extra swatches for 4 items in the Valentine's Day set: the short and tall flower pillars, the flowers for the wall, and the welcome board. These files have already been updated, and if you'd like the new swatches, you can get all of those items here, there is a zip folder for the whole set, and pick & choose. Our set above will be posted soon, I am just getting some preview images for the post π
