Sharing Scripts and Announcing whats Next

Some of you have asked why I no longer share video scripts or announce what the next video is. And I guess I should have explained that from the start.

First: One of the reasons the Dutch and later Hungary project was delayed so long is because I mistakenly posted "Editor" links, that gave those who used the link the power to edit the document. Someone here posted the links on kiwifarms, the entire scripts were deleted and replaced with 100 page long wall of text that simply repeated the phrase "Kiwifarms was here".

Second: Every single time I talk about what video I make next, and especially when I post the script, I notice that other youtubers just copy the topic and run with it. Sometimes they manage to make the video even faster than me. And I have the suspicion that this happened with the nuclear proliferation video as well. For the first time in ages I announced the topic of a video, and several smaller channels within a week produced videos on this exact topic using stock footage or still images.

I am not sure what to do about this, and for the last 2 years I have simply resorted to sharing as little as possible about what I am working on. I do not know how to resolve this dilema. Part of me thinks that only sharing the long video scripts might work as a solution.
