Will's Play of the Week #8 - Hi, Everyone
Added 2025-12-11 20:04:45 +0000 UTCHi, everyone! It's time for another Will's Play of the Week!
This is a really fun position where elite-level word knowledge isn't necessary to find the answer - should be a fun puzzle for those of you who are Scrabblers yourselves.
As I mention in the video, I'm going to endeavor to pick positions where the best available play is the same in both NWL and CSW - I know I have a mix of patrons focusing on each of these two lexicons, and I want everyone to feel as included as possible in these posts.
Hope you all are enjoying/looking forward to a great holiday season!

2025-12-12 15:35:53 +0000 UTCThis was super instructive thank you! What threw me when I was trying to work out the best play was the idea of actually splitting the 'best play' over two moves. I was thinking it must be a block down the left side of STRONTIA but I couldn't see how to block everything with no E for the R. So in a sense I was stuck trying to fix everything in one move. This was helpful because it reminds me (as a newer/intermediate player) to think about patience and 'set ups' as a way of making things work out for you. Thanks again!
