Hey guys,
It's me again. First of all, I'd like to inform you that all is good. I'm pretty sure I can have the update ready, before the end of the month, as planned.
Anyway, I was talking with other devs and the following seems to be a common thing among us:
We all have a rough plan of how the game/VN should proceed and based on that plan, we make each update. We impose a deadline, before which we plan to have everything ready.
Personally I find my reference images, I trace them, color them, shade them, make an animated sequence or two and so on. Then it's script/coding time and then again music and sound. Once it's proofread and gametested, I upload it and the rest is up to you.
Every time I give myself an extra week 'just to be sure' that I'll make it on time. The funny thing is Parkinson's law:
'Work stretches to fill the time that is available for its completion.' (lol)
Which in our case, in game development, makes total sense because, if for example, I was planning to make a scene with 9 frames, if I have more time I'll make 12 frames and so on.
Bottom line, once again I was planning for an easy peasy update but at the end of the month I'll be rushing things to make it to the deadline again.
Of course, you don't have to say take it easy, we can wait etc because if you spoil me like that, I'll never finish the project lol
Anyway, I'm off to my drawing tablet.
Hugs!!!
