March 2020 in review

Hey everyone, Mousii Here.

For those unfamiliar I am basically maidens right hand, I do all the graphics, the covers, most of the tumblr posts,etc. I even sometimes assist in writing tracks. 

This has been a rough month for everyone, Maiden and myself included. This pandemic hit very suddenly and left us all in an isolated state with our heads spinning. Maiden and I have spent the month planning a bunch of projects that all got thrown slightly off schedule and have now been pushed into April. Listed below are some things we’ve been working on:

M4DN_4: We co-wrote this script and what we have written is solid but after putting together a draft of the mix (that you heard in the teaser we released) we realized it was missing something. We want the M4DN series to be potent and effective and the further we get into the series the more pressure we feel to make sure it lives up the previous entries. After hitting this snag, we decided to step back for a few days to get perspective/brainstorm new ideas and themes we can add to M4DN_4 to make it the best M4DN yet. Once we adjust the script it will pretty much be ready for full release overnight. Stay tuned!

Spider (Ft. TheSecretSubject): Spider is one of our oldest tracks that we had to remove due to issues with a former collaborator we worked with early on. It was always one of our favorites of that era, so we are very excited to be remastering it with new vocals and a new induction provided by our very talented homie TheSecretSubject. This track is a dark enslavement fantasy that I believe fans both old and new will really enjoy. This track was temporarily delayed due to TSS having Covid related life disruptions that made her fall behind on her recording backlog. However, As of last night we have all the vocals recorded and will begin producing it in the coming days.

Now, onto the things we’ve completed this month. For those who missed it, I’ve produced 12 brainwashing gifs in the past month alone over on our tumblr. Maiden also did another musical collaboration with the lovely Chaos Doll called TO THE GROUND. I’m biased but I think it’s a catchy industrial tune and suggest those who missed it to check it out.

With all that aside, the good news is that with all these delayed tracks releasing on top of the stuff we were already planning for April we are on track to have a very strong month. Maiden and I are additionally experimenting with new workflows with the aims of increasing our content output up to as much as one track per week (mental health allowing). Regardless of how that goes expect a ton of high-quality content both TTS and non-TTS throughout the month of April.
