August 2025 Production Update

I spent the first week of July finishing up The Noobism Connection. Normally, after that, I’d go back to work on 50 Ways to Die in Elden Ring, but since The Noobism Connection continued the trend of performing better than the last video on YouTube and, under my original plan, the next 50 Ways to Live should have come out on July 1st, I decided to go straight into production on the next 50 Ways to Live.

And so I spent the 2nd week of July writing the script it. Last month, I said that if I ended up with a script that was longer than 4 mintutes, I’d start over and try again. After working on the script for a week, I discovered that it was probably going to be about as long as the last video, so I had to start over with a simpler idea.

I started the 3rd week of July writing a 2nd script. After 3 days, I had a new 50 Ways to Live script that was under 4 pages long and I spent the rest of July making a video out of it. At this point, the dialogue’s recorded and edited and about 80% of the core video is done. There’s still about a minute of video I need to make, but the sets and character skins are already ready to go, so it shouldn’t take too long.

But the next 50 Ways to Live is still going to to take a bit longer to finish than I probably made it sound in the last paragraph because there’s a little add-on scene that I came up with during production that’s topical right now. I want to add it to the video I’m currently working on because it might not be so topical by the time the next one comes out.

Once that’s done, the Patron version will be ready to go. After that, I’ll still need to make the Patreon plug at the beginning, the end credits, and the thumbnail for the public version. And after that, I might just go straight to work on the next 50 Ways to Live again if the trend of them doing significantly better on YouTube than the last one continues. We’ll see.
