June 2022 Production Update

I’m still working on Part 15, which I hope to release in November this year. My progress has been slow because of a REALLY big clip (which I will from here on out refer to as the Big Clip) which has been taking much longer to finish than I expected it to take. In April, I managed to produce about 1000 frames of the Big Clip, bringing the total number of completed frames of the Big Clip to about 4000 of an expected 7000.
After that, in last month’s production update, I said that I expected the rest of the Big Clip to be easier to produce because I had made it past the hard part. And, for once, I was right, because I finished nearly twice as many frames in May as I did in April. I am now done with 5850 frames of the Big Clip. I’m now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel of this huge part of the project.
The bad news is that I expect June will probably be as bad as April. The climactic ending of the Big Clip is going to present a whole new collection of animation challenges for me, so I expect I’ll need the whole month of June or more to finish it. I really hope it doesn’t take much longer than that. I can’t wait to finally get past this and get to work on the rest of the video.
