Next Comic: Three Wishes Part 1 Preview

Three Wishes is a working title, might change it.

But as for the Black Widow comic (Infinity Bracelet) Part 2, unfortunately I'll have to delay working on it due to poor sales of Part 1 (about 30% less than usual). If we were talking about Gumroad-era sales, then I could totally afford to take that hit. But in this post-Gumroad era, I just can't.

I thought Marvel would be a safe bet for a fancomic but I guess not. I'll wait till either sales pick up for Part 1 (which seems unlikely) or I can afford to take the financial hit again.

Anyway, the comic coming soon for this month will be about these three moms whose kids are playing together, when they're told that it's time to go home. While the moms are waiting downstairs, the kids are tidying up when one of them accidentally made a wish while holding a supposed magical girl wand toy.

It's a premise that I've been cooking up for a long while now, but I haven't dared to do it because of the sheer amount of work of having to draw not one, not two, but three characters undergoing AR.

Plus now, I've taken a liking to the cleaner lineart style I've started using since the last Emma Frost AR - it's a bit time-consuming to do, but I've picked up some tricks to make it a little less painful.

Part 1 will focus mainly on the AR process, so it'll just be loose/oversized clothing AR.

I was hoping to finish it this week, but I think realistically it should be done next week.

Anyway, I wanna see if doing an original comic again would sell better. Since I set up my new website, I can't really tell if it helped with sales - I had people buying some older comics as well, but total sales for Homemade Candy Part 2 was pretty much the same as when I had the Google Forms system.

I still suspect it's because a lot of people want to use card and not Paypal. But till today, I still have not found a viable alternative to Gumroad for selling these comics without getting shut down the moment I sign up lol.
