Instant photo self portraits
Added 2024-05-19 23:12:24 +0000 UTCMidday in full sun, along the edges of the yard and in the shadow of the deep, thick woods that surround it. I find the play of light and dark in those spaces. Lovely. They’re perfect for photo shoots. It did take some time to find the right angle with the tripod and instant camera that has a self timer on it. The first two photos are an attempt at finding that angle and distance. The final pose is what I was striving for. I once saw a set of black and white photographs from the 1920s and one of the poses was similar to this. It inspired me so I thought I’d give it a try to see if I could emulate it.
