When Ezra was broke and desperate for any job-that didn't require a diploma of any kind, or care about his past bad work experiences- he got lucky.
Spotting an ad, claiming that he'd get paid a decent wage, and all he had to do was 'look pretty and do as little as possible.' Little did he know how literal that job description was...
His employer really was hoping that a woman would be able to do the job, they do tend to be more attractive than most men, but there's nothing some proper makeup can't fix.
He has a few...complaints about his new job, but it's not like he can just quit...not at this point anyways.
One of the things he dreaded about this job were the bells on the numerous outfits he's forced into before work. Each bell on his body meant to act as a way for his employer to tell if he was doing a good job or not, alerting her when the slightest movement is made.
But what gets to him the most is how he's treated and talked about, people who see him comment on how beautiful he is, call him cute-touching him and playing with those ugly wigs he's forced to wear, all while he's unable to move or talk back.
He knows what he is: a living decoration, a doll to hold things, to make the room a little bit more interesting, a conversation starter....
This job may pay well, but it's demeaning and tiering! Hopefully he can find something else soon...but it's not likely.
EDIT: Title has been changed upon a concerned Patron letting me know that it's remarkably similar to a possibly triggering phrase, I apologize for any similarities.
