Dreamt of pirouettes
As a kid, I’d spin for hours.
I tried it again.
Happy Friday! For today’s selfie in three parts, I present a sketch of my imagined approximation of a pirouette. It’s true that as I kid I’d spin for hours. I briefly took ballet lessons where I learned the secret to spot turning and not getting dizzy. I’d make it a game to turn as many times as possible on one leg, then try to beat my last record.
The instant picture was my effort at trying to spin today. Not on one leg. Today’s best effort of spinning yielded a record of three spins, with much dizziness!
