Added 2021-07-20 20:52:31 +0000 UTCI’ve soaked two pieces of leather in hand mixed dye for 24 hours. I have basic colors of a quality textile dye, but this golden ochre color is not basic. It’s a mixture of yellow, and red. To prevent it from being too orange I also added blue and black. The color reminds me of a traditional natural dye color made from a plant called rabbit brush in the southwest.
Once I’ve finished rinsing and drying the leather, they’ll be made into leggings.
I’m really making progress with all the components for the coyote costume!
