Patreon Billing Update PART 2

Edit 10/14/24 - Some of you have forwarded some strange emails from Patreon; and it's hard for me to tell on my end what it all means, but my guess, is that Patreon might have discarded your set-spending limits for support here on OJST! Which must of happened when I updated the tiers (I wasn't warned that it might happen that way!) I'd encourage you all to dive into the membership settings and double check your at a level your comfortable with - I'll also refund any of you that get caught unawares, if the site goes crazy and charges you beyond what you expected!

Patreon has NOW UPDATED us from per-comic to per-month! (read up about the madness here!) Woop! Thank you all for sticking it out with us. From the looks of things, they also DIDN'T double charge you all last month =D

A little update to what happens NEXT:

At the END of next week (on the 10/11/24), we'll be looking to update the pricing on our Tiers to better reflect the 52-weeks-in-a-year posting schedule that OJST runs on (as compared to the 48 Patreon arbitrarily calculated us at!) What this means is that the monthly subscriptions will be going up ever so slightly:

Current --> NEW

$4 --> $4.50

$8 --> $9

$12 --> $13.50

$20 --> $22.50

$27.60 --> $31.50

$40 --> $45

(This is all now, per month)

Read up a bit about the why's and how's, with the previous post; we're really not looking to nickle and dime any of you; just trying to get your support back to the number it was originally at before Patreon made us change! OJST lives on a razors edge, and so every cent counts!

The TLDR? With the forced change we've just gone through, to become a per-month subscription-based Patreon, we've lost a bunch of income, as Patreon rounded out their numbers. We're course correcting with Patreon's approval to make sure the site can get back to where it was before!

The extra-Inside-scoop? I've also JUST turned on the Annual membership for 15% off feature. So if you don't mind paying us in one big lump, you can lock in the lower rate (with a discount) for this next week, if your so inclined!
