Part IV of everyone's favorite loop destruction series is coming out today - this time we take a deep listen to digital disintegration. Main tool is my iOS app Gauss, with added a loop decay in the latest update.

I'm new to audio production and have been trying to figure out how to do this digital loop destruction on my DAW (Bitwig 3.3). I discovered that adding a delay (100% mix) to the master track and making it as long as your loop needs to be. Then, apply a feedback that's less than 0dB ( the lower the feedback the faster the decayβI used -0.5dB for a 4 second sample). Lastly, I applied an 8bit crusher (Bitwig's BIT-8) with an 11kHz clock, a -96dB gate, and 100% mix to the "FB"/Feedback nested effect! Voila! It works like a charm! Now I have my digital destruction loop. Thank you Hainbach for the inspiration!
