All For Myself Chapter 46

"Hey mama, when will Ryo and Izu come by? I miss them." Eri asked, feeling curious as to when she'd next see her two brothers, they'd not been visiting as much since she started school and she hadn't seen them all week! That wasn't fair!

Inko answered the words of her daughter reassuringly to quell her worries, even using the nicknames she'd given the two of them." Ryo and Izu have been doing important work down in Kyoto, but they said they'll come visit us tomorrow. They said that your progress with your Quirk is very impressive Eri." Inko added that last part as praise.

Eri practically lit up, her ruby red eyes shining with innocence and joy at the mention of her new family being proud of her, for some reason her mum seemed to melt at the sight. Eri could only tilt her head at the action though. People did that a lot when she was really happy, that wasn't part of her Quirk was it?

The white haired girl fiddled with the curved horn on her forehead slightly, that itchy feeling she got whenever she needed to use her power starting to build up.

She needed to use her cu- her Quirk again soon. Ryo said that if she didn't then she would lose control, and without control she might hurt someone, so she should like control because if she had it then she wouldn't hurt somebody by accident.

Mama always watches the news every night, and Eri watches it with her. It's boring for her, but she could spend time with her mama, so they just talk a lot. Mainly about school, but lots of other things too.

At school she managed to make a few friends, but talking to other people is really difficult. She didn't know what to say when they asked about her Quirk or the bracelet she always had to wear.

Eri stared at the red bracelet that felt tight on her wrist. She's nearly lost control a few times, but all she had to do was click a button on the bracelet and her Quirk won't work anymore. Ryo said that she didn't need to worry about her Quirk as long as she had this on.

She feels like she isn't worth the attention and effort they give her, but she never tells them that. She doesn't want them to realise that she isn't worth it.

The news channel suddenly started to flicker and the television heard nothing but static for a moment. Inko saw this, and wondered if something was wrong with the TV, but in just a second the television immediately cut to... a city-

Eri was confused to see what looked like two people fighting right in the middle of an empty city, and when Ryoto was shown on TV she had to hold back a shudder.

He looked mad, really mad. Mad enough to do something bad.

But, he was her saviour. How could her Hero do something bad?

"Mama, why- why is Ryo on TV?" Eri asked, not sure what was going on, but still scared for the answer.

Inko was also unsure of what was going on, but snapped her head to Eri when she spoke those word.

"Wh-what are you talking about Eri, that isn't Ryo- that's... a Villain. A very bad one."

Those words threw Eri for a loop, and she tilted her head in confusion." But, why do they look the same then? Are they twins or something?"

Inko laughed nervously at her words, seemingly not even sure how to respond to the words of her daughter." That- that's, er not... possible."

Eri was confused about what was going on, why is Ryo on TV? Why is he fighting?

Why is he a Villain?

"Hello Japan, my name is Ryoto, you already know me from three years ago, and this-" Nana felt some light amusement as she stared at a horrified All Might, his weak form showing as he was thrust into the spotlight."- Is All Might, your perfect Symbol of Peace is hardly more than a scrawny stick figure, he is an attention hungry hypocrite who has failed to truly protect you all from the horrors of this system-"

"Damn, has he lost weight? He's like a skeleton." Nana gave Kiruka a side-glance and noticed that she was laughing a little at the sight of All Might being held by the hair and showed off to the world. Nana can agree with her on that, seeing someone she hates be taken down on national television was a hilarious sight.

Yet, she couldn't bring herself to enjoy it. Why was that?

She touched her arms, expecting to feel her grandparents clinging onto her... but there was nothing. She was just touching bare skin.

Nana ripped her attention away from her saviour, and was met with the sight of nothing but clear skin. No severed hands, no chains of grief, nothing but smooth unblemished skin.

She prepared itch like she was trying to tear off her skin... but nothing happened. She didn't feel that familiar need to rub her skin ragged. She felt normal, like those hands didn't matter.

"I want you to destroy these hands, maybe not now, but eventually."

Nana felt her heart become lighter and her heartbeat quicken. Maybe Ryoto was onto something more when he told her to throw away the hands. Her entire life she's felt sick and chained down by something, maybe that's what the hands are.

But, can she really throw it all away? Can she let go of her family?

She can only wait and see.

----------------------

"Me and All Might are actually pretty similar in one respect, one teeny tiny little fact that he didn't want the world to know, his real name is Toshinori Yagi and he and I were both-"

"DON'T"

"He and I are both Quirkless. That's right, until he was fifteen the Symbol of Peace didn't have a Quirk of his own, but one day an idiot of a Heroine saw potential in Yagi and decided to gift him a Quirk. This power is called 'One for All', a powerful strength Quirk that can be transferred to someone else if the user wishes. He isn't even using his power, this hypocrite over here preaches on and on about the will of being a good person, and how people should aspire to be Pro-Heroes, yet he could never even get to his position on his own. He had to have someone else give him the strongest Quirk in the world!"

I made sure that every word I spoke was loud and clear, that Japan would know all three of Yagi's dirty little secrets. They'd know of his past Quirklessness, they'd know about 'One for All', and finally they'd know about his real form and his past injuries. The genuine ecstasy that this made me feel was definitely vicious, and I probably shouldn't have relished the look of horror on All Might's face as his entire life's work came crashing down on him.

Not even my fate after tonight could ruin my good mood.

"And even after that, even after being given everything he needed to in order to succeed, he still failed! Maybe crime is down and the streets are clear. But, he is the only reason things stay that way. He finds this fact convenient, because he likes the attention he gets from being the only pillar in this society that does any work. He doesn't care about the future, he doesn't really care about you. This shallow bastard is just using you all as tools for his own self-gratification! But, in reality he's nothing but a hollow shell who runs around in a costume!"

I make sure to silence All Might with 'Paralysis' so that he can't contradict me. Whoever talks first wins, the fact I have All Might kneeling and dancing in my hands on top of that is just icing on the cake. The people have no choice but to take my words seriously, because nobody has had the chance to say otherwise.

"The Symbol of Peace thinks he's a god among men, and no god can get hurt, so to hide the fact he's just a mortal man like the rest of us, he never bothered to tell the world about his stomach injury, or show you his real form."

With a quick application of 'Overhaul' I disassembled the upper half of All Might's Hero costume, leaving his true skinny self bare for the entire country to see. Even I was disgusted by the sight, though I didn't allow it to show on the exterior, and I'd seen it before.

He was a sorry sight. Perfect.

"He did this, because he wants to fool himself into believing that he's a god. He can't accept a reality where he's just a normal person, so, in spite of the fact his body is so weak, he's neglected to pass on his Quirk to someone else. Because he care more about his ego than the safety of Japan. Toshinori Yagi isn't a real hero, his 'heroic efforts' are just a bunch of shallow attempts to satisfy his arrogant nature!"

Toshinori winced as I undid 'Paralysis' and pulled his face closer to the drone, emphasising his weakness by putting his hollow face on display." Tell me, is this your Symbol of Peace?! Is this your protector?! The one who's meant to lead you into the future?! Do you accept this liar and hypocrite as your hero?!!"

I made sure that my audience had a few seconds to breathe after I'd given my speech, actually patting myself on the back at how passionate I sounded when I said those words.

All Might was finished. Even if he stayed a Hero after this, the image he'd built up for himself had just been thoroughly grounded into dust that scattered to the wind. Crime would increase after this, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if Japan turned into The Purge.

This country would fall, and when it did, I would make sure to step in and build it back up.

After making sure that whoever was watching had a chance to breathe, I turned my gaze to All Might, frozen even after 'Paralysis' was cancelled. Poor pathetic fool, he was done.

"Well, Yagi, what do you have to say to your adoring fans now that they know just how pathetic you really-"

My body reacted on reflex and I let Toshinori's broken and beaten body out of my grasp in favour of raising both of my arms to guard against the strike I knew was incoming.

But, my action didn't make much of a difference either way, my skin was so tough that the sharp end of Hawks' blade barely even scratched my ultra-hard suit!

Keigo Takami appeared as nothing but a red blur and slashed at my arms with all his might using one of those big feathers, however in the end it didn't matter, since his feathers simply broke the moment he came flying at me with super-sonic speeds.

A red feather pierced through the drone which was filming everything, but I hardly even cared, that thing had done it's job and the entire country would be on fire soon, whether or not I won or lost today, whether or not I died today didn't really matter. In fact they can kill me if they really want, but it's too late for them.

The feather which wrecked my drone returned to it's master, the tiny red dart merging with Hawks' wings once more and adding to his collection of darts to send my way.

My eye followed the tiny thing and my red eyes met his golden ones. And, unlike that façade he put up for the public, this was the real Keigo Takami. No bullshit, no drama or flare, no mercy. He was cold, calculative, and ruthless.

Well, at least he's acting like himself. Too bad the real him is a dick.

I'll admit he was handsome though, even if he only did it to amass more fans, I do wonder where he got his looks from. Was it his crazy bitch of a mother, or his prick of an old man?

Though, he wasn't a threat to me. He was fast, but at the end of the day that's all he is. Fast. He didn't have the power necessary to put down someone of my calibre.

I greeted him cheerfully, as opposed to the destroyed surroundings we found ourselves in." Hey Raptor. So glad you could join this party, is Endeavour gonna pop by too? I'd love to beat all top three Heroes at once."

The blonde bird narrowed his eyes dangerously at me, his serious face changing into a smile, likely in an attempt to stall me, but his eyes staying dead serious." You sure are confident, but the thing about us Heroes is that we're all kinds of stubborn, you'll need more than-"

I suddenly lunged at him, the mutant wing Quirk I still had activated arching with purple lasers, full intent to wipe Hawks out evident with my actions. I could steal his Quirk whilst I'm here, 'Fierce Wings' would be a fine addition to my collection, and can provide amazing speed to it's holder, however it would be easier to just kill him, and it's not like I need it or anything.

Hawks, much to his credit, reacted quickly and with just one powerful flap of his wings he evaded my hand trying to latch onto him, however the pointed ends of my own wings simply followed him.

Crescent Wings + Bullet Laser + Navstar!

My combination of Quirks proved to be extremely effective, Hawks was forced to dodge every single laser I sent his way with the grace of a dancer, however 'Navstar' would cause the purple lasers to change their trajectory and follow the winged Hero in a ruthless pursuit.

That wouldn't be enough to end Hawks though, he's called the man who's too fast for a reason, so I should activate a few more Quirks, before I couldn't do something like this, but with my body the way it is now... that's no longer a problem for me.

Hawks gritted his teeth as he dodged purple laser after purple laser, the attacks seeming to lock onto his location as he did his best to avoid harm, however the grace he had at the start of the match was slowly but surely fading. Anyone with eyes could see that he'd be hit soon enough if this continued. He was no match for me.

"Keigo Takami!" I yelled his real name as I appeared behind him, those lasers just being tools to lure him in, and made sure to speak his real name so that he'd falter, if only for a single second.

And, it worked. It was slight, and he wasn't dragged down enough that it was anything more than a moment, but a moment was enough. I'd be able to wipe him out.

I held my arm forward, a swirling yellow and black orb of air materialising in front of me.

Air Wall + Dark Ball + Light Dust + Multiplier + Strength Enhancement + Kinetic Booster x3

This would do the job. This particular combination of Quirks was something I'd only have unleashed if the city was evacuated. I had no care for things like collateral damage, and no matter how fast Hawks is, it doesn't matter if I just unleash an attack so large that he can't escape!

The blonde was done, he was blocked by purple lasers on one end, and my abomination of Quirks on another.

The compressed air in my hand sucked into itself as the inky black of 'Dark Ball' began to expand, and unleash itself in an explosion of-

Suddenly my combination of Quirks was cut off, and the lasers I was firing dissolved into nothing, even my wings reseeded into my back, leaving me functionally Quirkless.

My Quirks were silent. The hateful screams of the vestiges were cut off, leaving my mind unburdened of my power. It was just me, nobody else.

For the splittist of seconds, I very nearly lost myself in the peace which Quirklessness brought.

But, I still had a fight to win. Being Quirkless wouldn't be enough to stop me. In fact, I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy myself for once. It doesn't matter if I win, if I lose, if I live or if I die.

I'm free as a bird.

A red blur came flying at me, that would be Hawks no doubt, and with full intent to separate my head from my shoulders, he brought his blades down once again.
