Chapter 126: Meeting

After appeasing Big Bai, Su Tingyun begins studying the bone ring.

She has always wondered about what that ring is made of and how powerful it is-- and why even Bai Su, who's from the Upper Realm, couldn't see through it. Now she understands that it's made from the bones of the celestial race, refined with their flesh and blood. Eluding the laws of the Heavenly Dao, it forms its own world within. This could truly be called a Celestial Artifact.

Initially, when Su Lijiang didn't reclaim the ring, she still felt a bit uncomfortable. But when Yun-Niang gave her the ring in the end, it's now no longer considered as stealing Su Lijiang's good fortune. Thinking of it that way, she feels a little better. After all, Su Lijiang is the real descendant of the celestial race, and the previous rightful owner of the ring.

However, Su Lijiang is bound within the Five Phases of the Heavenly Dao, so he can't make better use of the ring. She wonders if that's the reason Yun-Niang left it to her, or perhaps she has already acknowledged her even before.

It's also at this moment that Su Tingyun finally figures out a puzzle that's been bothering her for a long time.

The thing about Wei Yun.

Wei Yun lived her life extremely arrogant. She had used force on Su Lijiang in the past, more than once even, without considering his feelings at all. She always thought that since she couldn't marry anyone else, encountering such a handsome man, and saving his life-- meant that he had to repay her with himself. She gave him all those medicines because she couldn't bear to see such a good-looking man die. Maybe she had loved him, but possession mattered more to her than love.

Wei Yun loved herself more. As long as her own days went well.

Because she has Wei Yun's memories, Su Tingyun knows that she was a strong and fierce woman. Even shortly before her death, she could still question and admonish her subordinates with an imposing manner. She didn't have any signs of being heartbroken, so why did she fabricate such a story of suffering? She claimed that Su Lijiang had gone to a battlefield, and she hadn't seen him if he's alive, nor seen his corpse if he's dead, and that she'd been waiting for news from him?

It's not that she had been deceiving herself.

She was simply influenced by Yun-Niang's primordial spirit within the ring. Because Yun-Niang had been waiting, waiting for so long.

Thinking about this, Su Tingyun takes a deep sigh. She better study this bone ring first.

The ring is connected to her consciousness. Now that she is a spiritual body, she can easily feel that the ring is within her soul. She focuses her divine consciousness on the ring, and this time, Su Tingyun receives a response. It's as if a tightly shut door is finally being pushed open, revealing a glimpse of light through the crack.

Excitedly, she pushes open the door and sees a whole new world.

Unlike the small realm inside the bracelet, the space within the ring is as vast as several thousand acres. The outer perimeter is not a barrier, but a hazy mist. In other words, there's still the possibility of further expansion here.

Inside the ring, it's as if a new world had been created.

On the surface of these thousands of acres of land, there's a layer of pale green gas, and many tender grasses grow on top, lushly covering the entire land. The fresh green color makes people feel relaxed and content.

However, Su Tingyun finds it somewhat strange. She notices that these grasses are growing within that greenish gas, without any soil underneath.

There's not a speck of dirt to be seen.

There's a mountain not too far away, and even from this distance, she can sense the presence of spiritual stone veins within the mountain. It's completely conspicuous, like a spiritual mine. Above her head, the sun in the sky resembles a small flame and, at first glance, looks somewhat similar to the Heavenly Fire within her divine consciousness.

Continuing to look forward, Su Tingyun discovers a circular disk in the center of this space within the ring. The disk is quite large, divided into five sections, and filled with swirling clouds. Three of the sections are already filled with radiance, which is hazy and surrounded by clouds, as if a veil has been draped over the colorful objects within.

The radiances in these three sections are green, gold, and red, respectively. These are the three fine lines that she saw on the ring when they first appeared.

The red one is definitely the Heavenly Fire, and Su Tingyun knows when it was absorbed. But what about the green one? Is it water? However, there's not a drop of water in this space. Wood? Looking at the grass on the ground, Su Tingyun feels that the possibility of it being wood is high, considering their frequent visits to the Divine Tree Heart. As for the golden one, is it lightning?

No, since there are five sections, it should correspond to the Five Elements. So, the golden one must be metal, and the Springwater Sword must have been absorbed into the ring. It seems that gold represents the Springwater Sword.

The celestial Yun-Niang mentioned that gathering enough materials would allow for the reconstruction of her physical body. And now, the only elements she lacks are water and earth.

Unintentionally, she has already completed three-fifths of the process. Thinking about it, she's hopeful.

Heavenly Fire, Divine Tree... she wonders where she can find Heavenly Water and Heavenly Earth. Su Tingyun's knowledge is limited, and she has no understanding of water and earth at the moment. She ponders about it, then decides to ask the Divine Tree Heart.
