Chapter 116: In the Mists

The woman that has materialized within the gates of the Immortal Palace is Xi Guang.

Xi Guang's bone age is already several thousand years old.

Yet she went in!

She has entered the Immortal Palace.

The cultivators native to this realm go into an uproar, like a pot boiling over. But the Upper Realm cultivators remain calm. The Broken Sword Master had already appeared in the True Immortal Realm with various identities, in other planes of the Three Thousand Realms as well. Whether the master is currently a man or a woman, no one would be surprised. The only way to identify her is through the sword intent.

Duan Potian and several other Tribulation Transcendent cultivators rush towards the entrance of the Immortal Palace, but they are all bounced back by a powerful force. This proves that the rules of the Immortal Palace haven't changed, so why could Xi Guang go in? Could it be that she is not Xi Guang, but someone else that’s using her face?

The Kunlun Divine Tree is also stunned. The entire tree shakes a little, apparently not understanding why Su Tingyun could also enter.

Big Bai almost gets peeled off as Su Tingyun enters the Immortal Palace. Fortunately, it tightly bites on the necklace made from the vine of the Kunlun Divine Tree, clinging on to Su Tingyun's skin. So it isn’t stripped off. However, Big Bai is also seriously injured. It gnaws on its stock of Kunlun Divine Tree branches in its stomach, like its life depends on it, even trying to eat the vine that’s tied around it.

At this moment, Su Tingyun herself is very shocked. Her body and primordial spirit are under unbearable pain, and are beginning to reject each other. Initially, she entered Xi Guang’s body while in her best condition, then it took her less than a day to successfully get through the Tribulations. After passing the Tribulations, she felt great overall and had overflowing energy. Even if you add the time she spent breaking the seal and stopping over inside the Kunlun Divine Tree, it hasn’t even been a day and a half. Why is the rejection starting so soon?

Could it be that she received a soul attack as soon as she got through the gates of the Immortal Palace?

Su Tingyun doesn’t dare to delay any longer. Forcefully rallying her strength, she flies towards Xiao Mei's direction. She originally wanted to test her ability to shorten the distance, instantly teleporting through space as cultivators on Nascent Soul and above could do, but there’s a lot of fine-tuning involved depending on the distance. However, she didn't expect that there are many restrictions inside this Immortal Palace, that as soon as she soars into the sky, she feels as if she’s hitting an invisible wall. This makes it impossible to rush straight to where Xiao Mei is.

But the moment she lands, Su Tingyun suddenly feels something calling her.

Like a voice calling her from an unseen realm, luring her towards an unknown path. It’s towards a direction that is completely opposite to Xiao Mei's location, but Su Tingyun doesn’t waver and proceeds to where Xiao Mei is. After just a few steps however, the voice becomes louder and louder, until it begins to muddle her consciousness.

Big Bai is like a tiny squirrel, its belly bulging from continuously nibbling on a root of the Divine Tree. But it suddenly halts. Jumping down from the Divine Tree root, its body immediately turns big and white. Then, it shakes the only remaining leaf left on its forehead, making a rustling sound, and allowing Su Tingyun to barely calm her mind enough to say, "Big Bai, wrap me up and let's go find Xiao Mei."

Big Bai lets out a low chirp, as if threatening the mysterious something over there. Then it directly encases Su Tingyun up in its belly and bounces towards Xiao Mei, according to where Su Tingyun is pointing.

Inside Big Bai's body, the mind disturbance is much weaker, and Su Tingyun finally breathes a small sigh of relief. Just now, it felt as if her body was going to follow in that direction against her will. In the past, whenever she encountered a situation where she’s losing her mental faculties, the ring would send her a coolness to bring her back to her senses. Why did the ring not react this time?
