Chapter 097: The Wait

     As soon as the late-stage Tribulation Transcendent Xuan Qi of the Xuan Sect has left, the peak-stage Tribulation Transcendent Demon Venerable of the Moon Worship Cult arrives.

     In the past, everyone thought that the practitioners of the Demonic Path are far more terrifying, but the death of the Jade Maiden has left them perplexed.

     That demon woman had slaughtered many cities before, and she was renowned for her viciousness in the cultivation world. But in her last moments, she broke the barrier and chose to destroy her own primordial spirit, buying a sliver of chance for the Jinxiu City’s occupants to survive.

     But from those who heard her voice, the one who has arrived first is this Demon Venerable!

     Just as the clouds overhead have yet to disperse, the shadow of death still hangs over every living person in Jinxiu City. The Nightmare-Eating Tapir lets out a cry, causing the cultivators below to see nightmarish hallucinations. For a while, the screams of suffering resound unceasingly in Jinxiu City, like purgatory on earth.

     The demon, the Jade Maiden, broke the barrier before she died, and used all her strength to send her voice throughout the world. Many have heard about the tragedy that has befallen Jinxiu City. The Demon Venerable happened to be near, and his Nightmare Tapir Phoenix Feather Frame is considered to be the fastest in the world. His flying device naturally arrives the soonest, but he could feel that other great powers are rapidly approaching.

     The Demon Venerable had some friendship with the Jade Maiden, but he couldn't figure out why she would choose to explode her soul to protect this Jinxiu City. Could it be that she really had some sort of relationship with Dan Biqing?

     Since she’s dead, he decides to give the Jade Maiden a little consideration. He doesn’t have the leisure to kill the ones left alive in Jinxiu City, he’s merely going to collect the souls of those that have died, but their souls had yet to completely dissipate. While it’s convenient.

     She is only at the early stages of the Foundation Establishment now, and this white tiger has been in Core Formation for a long time. Still, he faithfully stands next to her.

     They are not master and servant, but brother and sister.

     Wang Ningxi glances at the people around her, then carries the white tiger on her back, and laboriously puts him next to Bai Chengyu's feet. That way he’s also next to Su Tingyun.
