i understood where syd was coming from bc it wasn’t really about the walls, like yea they obviously needed to come down but it’s the fact you bailed on me, lowkey ignored me the whole day and then your making big decisions without me when were supposed to be partners.

Syd had breakfast at Kasama and then met the butcher, Rob Levitt, at Publican Quality Meats. Rob is the real life head butcher and chef de cuisine there. Since you asked, the white haired guy Syd talks to is Donnie Madia and they're at avec (West Loop). Donnie once worked at Mr. Beef and borrowed money from Joseph Zucchero (the original owner of Mr. Beef) to start his first restaurant, Blackbird. Donnie is co-founder of One Off Hospitality which owns several Chicago restaurants. Syd got pizza at Pizza Lobo, dumplings at Lao Peng You, and a sundae from Margie's Candies. I love how this show highlights and celebrates the local food scene in Chicago.

It was in part because Carmy's not good at accepting good things in his life, but also because part of him just didn't think he had the time to commit to getting involved with Claire. But he obviously likes her.
