Bonus: Nuns vs Witches Commission: Hi-Res Early Access
Added 2025-09-12 17:52:18 +0000 UTCThis is an interesting one... after the Upsidedown Cake and Alien commissions I got recently, Futazon and I got to talking about other potential alternate versions. Through a lot of back and forth we came up with this concept of Nuns vs Witches. I've honestly been imagining it as some kind of gacha card game, where you collect magical girls split into two factions: Witches or Nuns. It's more like rival schools than any kind of war, and they compete to take out monsters sent by Sindra and the monster empire. If it was a show it would be something where each week Sindra corrupts a magical girl, who turns into a monster and has to be cleansed by the other magical girls. Probably generates a gem or something when cleansed? Either way, there would be something for the girls to compete over, and the monster corruption gives me an excuse to design monstergirl versions of all the characters.
Anyway, you can see it's more just a vague concept at this point. I don't know if we'll pursue it beyond maybe designing cute magical girl outfits for some characters. As you can see this poster hints at Lina and Emi, who are on opposite sides of the divide. Emi is interested in politics in the Lina x Emi series, which I didn't feel inspired a particularly cute outfit so instead Emi is an artist for this setting. Futazon then had the idea for Lina to be a skater, and even came up with the backwards cap/witch hat.
