A few days ago, I shared my new add-on for the SmartSim mod with you! You’ve probably noticed that the core goal behind SmartSim mods is to make every Sim a truly unique and complete individual. Each Sim has a specific set of skills and talents that only they can develop.

This individuality is further enhanced by meaningful relationships and slower progressions, making their journey even more special.

What this add-on does is make career progression a bit more challenging! Nothing extremely difficult, just a little extra spice. For self-employed professionals, this means they can only practice their profession from level 2 or 3 of certain skills—not level 1, as it was before. After all, freelancers need more experience before offering services to the town.

Additionally, this mod also makes career progression feel more realistic. Sims will face mood swings and higher stress levels, making it necessary for players to find a balance between fun and hard work. On the other hand, as a small incentive, workplace relationships are slightly easier to build, preventing your Sim from falling into a spiral of sadness and hopelessness.

I hope you enjoy these small additions and pair this mod with the main module. While both work independently, combining them will make everything even more exciting!
