Stupidly busy trying to get some videos prepped for the Neptune 4 Plus & 4 Max
Having some issues with my 4 Max / pretty sure it’s coming down to my print settings and still trying to dial things in for the beast of a machine.
But man oh man is my Neptune 4 Plus working great right off the bat.
I’m also playing around with Orcaslicer & more than likely going to be cutting over to it as my primary slicer. So stupidly easy to work with & manage profiles. I also can easily connect to my N4 Plus and n4max wifi to send prints / monitor the print job. Really damn cool.
Hopefully will have my N4 Max video up later this week & the n4 Plus next week
Will be sharing my profiles here as well. Might go ahead and upload early versions of them as I know some peoples printers have already shipped.

2023-10-25 23:02:31 +0000 UTCHello Steve, I received my Neptune 4 Max on Monday and it does include a filament run out sensor. I was pretty sure the Plus model had one as well. Unless I am crazy and what I am thinking is the sensor is something different since I have never had a printer with a sensor.

I have a question about the Neptune 4 Plus - I ordered one today (Yeahhhh) but I am confused as to why there is no Filament Run Out Sensor on either of these new units? Is this no longer needed as the Hot End is handling this with a sensor? Other than where I am going to put the beast, this has me a tiny bit worried. Thank you all!

2023-10-25 19:43:00 +0000 UTCI was able to get my Logitech camera working on the 4Max in the USB port. Even running Obico with successful (verified) detection of failed prints. Basically required SSH and a few simple command lines to enable the service, then it worked great. Followed the Obico install guide here: https://www.obico.io/blog/klipper-camera/

2023-10-25 00:40:26 +0000 UTCWell i figured out how to install mainsail but had to put it on a different port because was scared to uninstall fluid… and it turns out it was a good call, because mainsail is not fully functional unless you upgrade klipper and moonraker, which im told not to upgrade as it will break everything and will require a refresh of firmware and cfg files…. Too bad because i am not used to fluid.. mainsail does work but missing some features without the upgrade

It's not quite perfect yet, but it works and it's pretty fast. Should be a good basis for tinkering.

2023-10-25 00:10:03 +0000 UTCUmm.. 1) just joined on the premise and misleading title that there were already orca profiles for the N4M.. it’s only 1 dollar, but certainly feel like I got the bait and switch. Considering the lpost was 12 days ago. 2)also not thrilled with Elegoo or any 3rd party for that matter not selling these proprietary nozzles…. 3) I know Jessy has mentioned he’s no klipper expert, and I don’t trust the ferrial engineer as his files really messed up my N3M… so if anyone can point me in the right direction specifically for klipper on N4M, im looking for how to 1) switch from Fluid to mainsail (cant get Khuila to do it. 2.) get my logitech camera to work while plugged into the N4M usb jack. 3.) load the klipper page with a name instead of ip address…. All things i was able to do with my N3M modded with a raspberry pi… any experts you can refer me too?

Just got my Neptune 4 max last night and just using the basic elegoo cura profile their printer is insane. Can’t wait for your orca slicer profiles as that is the main slicer I use on all my printers including my bambu’s and Kobra’s
