This movie impressed me to no end! I really was pleasantly shocked by how much I loved this. I've even watched it again since recording!

I really love this movie it's like a comic come to life in the best way possible. It's also one of the best superhero stories out there. A spiderman story is always about responsibility but this movie turns it into a story about growing up too and obviously it's also just very fun. A couple off things. It was funny when you repeatedly said that Dr Octavius looked like Kathryn Han without realizing that it is her. Usually Dr Octavius is man. So it was a really nice twist that they switched the gender. Dr. Octavius and Kingpin are also very iconic spiderman villains. (Even though in general the film was littered with spiderman villains.) Funny that you mentioned the penguin cuz that is a Batman villain. So completely different franchise. When Stan Lee was still alive he made a cameo in nearly every film containing his characters.

2025-07-18 19:43:58 +0000 UTCi still remember how i was only 10 mins in the first part and the whole sequence with Miles discovering his powers with “don’t stick. STICK, PLS STICK”, and that interaction with Gwen until he reached his dorm, made me GIGGLE for another 10 mins. it’s very rarely when a movie/show can get such a genuine and laughable reaction outta me so i fell for this series very quickly. Arcane and Spider-Verse became easily my fav animated shows ❤️🔥💙

2025-05-27 21:03:57 +0000 UTCi watched both parts *twice*. the second part has only one disadvantage – it’s the second part 😁. meaning u won’t experience the same “first reaction” as for the first movie when u had no idea how *good* it was gonna be. in other words – the second part is a great continuation of the story, with its own twists and turns, that leave u even more out of breath, with anticipation for the *third* movie. hope folks will vote for Spider-Verse as movie of the month cuz i cannot see ur reaction to the next part 😁. take care 💖

Noir Spidey had the lines man “Wherever I go the wind follows, and the wind smells like rain.” lol. The effect you were talking about at 01:08:35, the color distortion, is called chromatic aberration. It happens when a camera lens cant focus all the colors to the same point. Its really impressive how they incorporated that in their animation style. btw, will you put Across the Spider-Verse on the next poll? Cheers!

2025-05-23 09:36:11 +0000 UTCFor me personally both movies are on the same level, they feel like two parts of one movie for me and I'm sure part 3 will fit in as seamlessly as the first two. But if I had to choose, I'd say I like the first one a teensy bit better than the second one. While the story and the animation is beyond marvellous, it is a bit too much on the nose for me with the visual storytelling and it feels sometimes like a visual overload for me...🤔😊 Anyhow, for me goes the same as for everybody else here - can't wait to see your reaction to "Across the Spiderverse"...🤩

Spider-man Noir was voiced by Nicolas Cage and he's going to be portraying a live action series for amazon prime next year, not sure how that'll go to be honest. I agree super hero movies/shows can get predictable but based off your reactions to this I'd recommend either giving the 1st Deadpool movie a go (imagine if fleabag wrote a superhero) or the series Moon Knight (only 6 eps that can be watched without any prior knowledge of the character or other movies). I wouldn't class either of them as stereotypical, if anything they're both a good amount of weird.
