Dylan is beginning to crumble, now he knows he has a son.
Helly is even more desperate to break the rules, and get 'outside'.
And Mark... well... let's just say, he's now involved in something far bigger than he realises.

My head is still spinning 😵💫 Instead of “Severance Jazz,” it should be “Severance Jamboree of Shocking Events!” Can’t say it enough Claudie, your skill to see/read clues is incredible. You picked up on maybe severed people also living in the so called real world during the convo between Harmony and Devon (Mark’s sister) - wanting babies but not wanting to give birth, and then we see a finale where there is a possibility of multiple versions of a single person?

2025-05-11 09:32:27 +0000 UTCI'm a bit late to the conversation but I hope you see the tendency in Mark, by now, to lash out, tear or destroy things that force him to confront his grief. He did it with Petey's map which he shredded on the severance floor. And he does it here with Gemma's photo (go back and catch his expression right after he tears the photo - he looks stricken by his own action). Mark has a great capacity for empathy and thoughtfulness, but he's horrible at coping with his own situation and grief - hence the severance.

2025-05-09 15:39:31 +0000 UTCI lost my fucking shit when I saw this, I knew it , I knew from the moment he started listing random facts about his late wife as he was patching the picture back together, lost it as I realised exactly WHY cobel had been so fucking interested in asking Devon "do you think he still sees his wife sometimes" when cobel stole the fucking candle and when in mark's wellness session she had ms. Casey light the Candle as Mark sculpted the tree that "killed his wife", when mark said "she loved all of these things equally". Everything oh god everything made so much fucking sense I went so insane and I'm so happy to see you go absolutely fucking nuts about it as well this was my favourite fucking episode

I think this is why Mark acted out in the previous episode to get Ms Casey out of the break room. He doesn't know why, he just felt like he had to help her and taking the team to O&D was the only thing he could do.
