Our future plans (GONE MILD)

Hey guys,

I've been wanting to make a post outlining all our thoughts and ideas for the future, so, here it is!

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for being incredibly patient and supportive. This community is growing bit by bit every day, and it really brings tears of pog to my eyes. 

So first big point of news is that the next update is coming out in 2 weeks, January 1st. 

I could have released it a bit earlier and was originally planning to, but then I decided to take the extra 2 weeks to get a couple more things set up and make some preparations for what we will do after this update. 

The new update will consist of two quests that I'm really proud of. Potted Weeds and Operation B.O.B. One is a lighthearted point-and-click omage, and the other one is... well, what everyone's been asking for!

There will be two new gallery scenes and lots of small improvements to be specified more in the changelog. Once again, this update will be on January 1st.

Then moving forward, I have some good news. As time goes on, we get better and faster with our tools and processes, which allows us to make content better and faster. 

So besides the two quests in the new update, we also have some more quests halfway done. One for Izzy and one for Lindsey with a splash of Kate. These quests still need work,  but at least there is content down the pipeline whereas for all previous updates, we had to scramble the next release  from scratch every time. 

This allows me to set a consistent schedule, which is something I really want to do and think is quite important.  A specific, reliable date that everyone can expect an update.

At first, there were whispers of a quest every 2 - 3  weeks. These whispers were started by me because I am my own worst enemy. I also didn't have as much experience in making quests as I do now so my timetables were not correct. 

At our current size, I think promising one quest every 4 weeks, or one quest a month should be much more attainable and deliverable. I also think it's not too bad of an update schedule when you look at some other similar games. 

So our next update after this one will be February 1st.

It will feature the Lindsey and Kate quest. 

The promise here is consistency. Maybe the amount of content won't be 5 hours like our first update, but our goal going forward will be to have an update ready for you at the start of each month.

Now of course, it would be my ultimate goal to release updates quicker, maybe even reaching the coveted goal of one fully polished quest every 2 weeks. But right now, our current team is at capacity. 

I want to bring on more writers, coders, artists, sound designers, etc and make this game really great.  I believe we have a lot of unique tools that make our studio special, and that we can make really great things if we keep growing. But the studio is still currently operating at a loss so bringing on more people is challenging. 

So lately we've been thinking of adding a new Patreon support tier. We have cool ideas for rewards we can set up and we want to try them out.

What does Chad get? 

Besides everything you've never had and always wanted of course, he gets: 

• The newest update first!
• An exclusive Chad only wallpaper, drawn by Mint, just for this support tier (the first one is going to be Christmas themed).
• The ability to leave your permanent mark, as a Chad is one to do, on this game. We will implement places where you can add a custom message that will permanently be added to the game for all to see and read. 
• An S+ tier role, and a secret Discord channel to go along with it. 

With this new tier, I am also going to experiment with the release rollout. There's an extreme  tightbalance in rewarding supports of essentially a free-to-play game between accommodating and appreciating your original day-one supporters and generating hype for more support. So bear with me, the rollout is liable to change again, its a learning process for everyone involved but we'll keep banging away at it until we find something everyone is happy with. 

The rollout schedule is going to be like this:

1st of every month: New update drops, Chad tier gets exclusive rights to it for 1 week.

After the first week: Incel supporters get access to the update for the rest of the month. It does not go public yet. 

1st of next month:  New update drops, old update become freely available to the public. First Chad gets the new update, one week later, Incels get it, and then three weeks later it becomes public as the next update comes out. 

This new schedule will go into effect January 1st along with the new Chad role.
