Dam*...... That ending!!! Again, I have seen this season before but I completely forgot that part. I remembered like 10 seconds before it happened. Wow. (Dang enter vs shift+enter always posting instead of spacing) Like you I am hooked again and really wanting to binge your reactions straight through the end and to the next season. Sadly one more and I will be caught up with you. Ok. I had a very different reaction than you to what she said. And I'm sure there are many people on both sides. Let me share my thought process. "I heard a rumor... you think you're just ordinary." Is very very VERY different than "I heard a rumor... you think you don't have supernatural powers." The exact wording is CRITICAL if this show means for her power to be taken literal word for word. Which I think it does. (I could be wrong) "you think you don't have supernatural powers" is very cut and dry. No way that can be confused. But "you think you're just ordinary" can relate to Every aspect of her life. She is not talented enough to be the 1st chair violin player.... she is "just ordinary" for example. And many many other things in life. Anything and everything that would be considered "extraordinary" she would not think possible. Smarts, confidence, popularity, success etc etc. Or I am taking something literally that was not meant to be and I am completely wrong. If I'm remembering correctly every time they have talked about Allison's powers they suggested that it was very literal and that is why it is so very dangerous and should never be used except when there is no other way. The wording could be just a little off and have a very different effect than she intended. Also about the age thing. I 100% agree that a young child doing what their parent told them to do is not to be blamed at all in any way. But at some point she grew up and was not a young child any more and chose to keep lying to Vanya about it. I'm pretty sure I remember Allison recently telling Vanya more than once she can't come, or was not invited because she was ordinary, or not like them. (I don't remember what scene or exact phrasing) IMO the continuation of the lie now that they are adults and their dad is not even with them any more is something she can be blamed for. Excited for the next one. And the next one, and every one. I love a good story.
