Heartstopper Season 1 Episode 3 UN-CUT, FULL EPISODE REACTION!

It would appear that the "gay gods" we've always needed are Alice Oseman, who wrote the original Heartstopper web comic (available for free on Webtoon, Tapas, and Tumblr, as well as for sale as printed graphic novels), and also wrote the scripts for the series, and Euros Lyn, who directed every episode of the series. Together, they have worked magic (along with everyone else involved in the show production and design!). This show truly is groundbreaking and special. It's pure queer joy, even when it's handling more difficult subjects, and it manages to constantly surprise us because we have been conditioned to expect the worst, like expecting Charlie and Nick to be interrupted before they could kiss or while they were kissing. And they are all just so darned cute together - Nick and Charlie, Tara and Darcy, and, though they're not actually a couple, Elle and Tao. And Isaac and his books, too, for that matter. And if we feel like this by the end of episode 3, you know the remaining 5 episodes will be good. This show is now my happy place. And given all of the anti-LGBTQ+ attacks going on right now, I definitely need that happy place.

Exactly. Nick might not be sure of who he is or what his sexuality is right now, but the one thing he does know is that he likes Charlie, which is really realistic to how you start understanding that you might not be straight. I love it so much.

What I love is how this show doesn't rush Nick into anything. When Charlie asks him if he would date or kiss someone who wasn't a girl he said "I don't know". But when Charlie asked if Nick would kiss him, he said yes. I take it as showing that Nick is still confused about liking guys but sure about liking Charlie.
