Changes in currency / tiers
Added 2020-11-16 10:09:45 +0000 UTCI have started using the Patreon tiering system to make it all a bit more clear. It will cost me about 3% more per transaction, but I think it may be worth it.
If you are already a Patron, you can select your tier free-of-charge. Be sure to do this as soon as possible, or you may lose your perks once I have automated the system.
Along with that I have also chosen to change my account's primary currency to USD. To make it cheaper for me to move the income directly into DigitalOcean to pay the bills there.
Patreon currency conversions from GBP/EUR to USD are a bit weird. For example they seem to be converting USD to EUR 1:1, even though EUR is worth about 1.2x the USD at the moment.
For EUR it might be cheaper to pay the amount in USD and let your payment provider (like PayPal) do the conversion.
I'm not sure about the GBP conversion, you would have to do the calculation yourself.
