WmW is ending, what is next?

Hello! How do you do?

Ok let's skip those deals. My comic Where's My Wonderland is about to end, and while I'm still working on the last few chapters and writing essays on my experience working on this project, I figured I need to shine a light on next projects I will be doing and well how my Patreon will change with those. Imma do this in some style of list style so it's more readable.

This will be long post tho, buckle up.

- Will WmW have more content? Sequel? Prequel? Extra chapters?
Right now I have only small manuscript for sort of sequel to WmW. But I'm also wondering if it will be needed, since it's more or less just a "Where are they now?" or "5 years later". Right now I will see if there is something people need to see or if there is any interest in it ^^ Other than that I might do somethings here and there but it will all depend on how I feel. There might be huge interest in it too, who knows, but pardon me, I need to rest, I have drawn 319 pages of this comic and need some rest xD Lol

- What is going to be next?
Well there are few things. But let me take you back to the past, around a year after WmW started. I started another project. And then another. And then like 10 more. Anyways, only like 2 of them stick. And one of those is just a small story I want to write for myself, so you know, no one is gonna see that >:D But the other project, right now is a project named "Snapdragon", and it's going to be some sort of visual novel. I will talk more in depth about it on it's own part. And that project has been on/off under work for like 4 years, but I have actively been working on it for less than a year. Other than that I have few ideas I'd like to work on too, both of them are games of sort, right now their projects names are "Memento Mori" and "Space Mail". These project names are 75% gonna change at some point tho. Like holy fuck does anyone even know what Snapdragon is? xD

Other than these projects I have wanted to learn 3D modeling, 2DLive modeling and maybe do more VRoid avatars. The few I have done so far have been really fun, and despite the one that keeps crashing they have been turning out quite nicely. And it could fun someday try out a commission or something with this. But VRoid studio can't do a proper Jade avatar (too many eyes rip) so that is why I'd love to learn Blender or 2DLive modeling and make a sort of Avatar of Jade, at least for fun.

On a smaller note, I will try to keep Streams up for the summer at least ^^

(This is a model I made for Tsumugi Kafuu, https://www.twitch.tv/tsumugikafuu, it's one of my earliest and pretty basic, but I think the overall design turned nicely and the model itself works nicely with minimal clipping from hair.)

- Are there going to be another comics?
Yes, most likely, but I'm not sure which and what they will be yet. And frankly, I burned myself out with the WmW comic, so I will take my time to make another. High probably is that when I do another comic it will be in a different style from WmW, as in it will either be in the "long page" webcomic style or illustration per page style (dunno what to call it, look up Ava's Demon for good example). And I have a good script going for OC comic of mine, which is basically reboot of that one old OC comic of mine where my alien OC and other characters have silly fun together. So it's highly likely that will be the next comic, but like I said, not right away. I need a break to pursue other ideas ^^

- What's going to happen in Patreon?
Patreon will be kinda the same. I might do little updating on pledges and try to come up something else to make Patreon-only, currently the likeliest change will be some sort of access to game demos and as the projects happen I will most likely do the usual "name in the credits" deal for those who want. Heck maybe I will give you a change to have some sort of easter egg in one of my projects ^^
But other than those I'm going to keep the Patreon the same, pictures with sketches, early content on whatever I do and polls/opinions on everything. Also I might start setting up project updates, so here will be more content on how far the progress has gone.

- Stuck on you (Project Snapdragon)
So, as mentioned before this is going to be visual novel. And let's be honest inspirations for this visual novel are the otome visual novels (google, but basically it's dating sims aimed for girls), horror/death games (aka games which you often have to make choices and depending on them you will face sort of unique death or continue the game, Witch's house would be great example of this sort of game) and of course, Doki Doki Literature Club as the probably most famous psychological horror visual novel. So basically the game works on the thriller and horror elements, and it's whole gimmick will be a certain twist I won't be going into right now. I'd usually avoid mentioning DDLC and otome, as those will give certain expectations, you know, as in that the game will be masterful meta horror and aimed only for female audience, but as I can't really go into deeper gimmicks of the game without spoiling anything that is best I can describe it.
I have actually already, long time ago tho, shared characters form the game. So here are they again ^^

Their names are Michael, Ian, Sean and Rina. You might recognize them form some of my art work too, as I have drawn them few times (except Rina, holy fuck I can't get her hair working ever) and I did a poll way back asking which looks the best and oddly enough Ian and Rina were to most popular, while Michael were left to eat dirt lol. God, I'd love to talk about them so much but maybe in another post lol.
But yeah, I'm going to focus on this one as my main project next. It doesn't mean I won't be doing anything else, but I'm determined to get this done. And good thing here is that I have some of it already written, and maybe I can get a demo available during the summer. The demo will be most likely available for Patreon tho, currently I'm not sure on which pledge tear I will do it, but we will see. Maybe I will seperate early access demo and the actual demo too. I need to think which way is the best.

- Project Memento Mori
Same with the Project Snapdragon, the name is still work in progress, but I there is this one song which inspired the whole thing so it might be rather similar to the end name. (Probs to you if you can figure out the song lol).
Nevertheless, the game is going to be a murder mystery in a RPG maker style, and alike project Snapdragon, I can't go into deep details, but:
Unlikely group of has gathered in one place to seemingly celebrate and socialize. You, a rather distant stranger, quickly catch on to the atmosphere. Tension between old enemies and everlasting embarrassments is highlighting how there is clearly something going on. And you don't want to stay anymore than you have to. Settling your leave in front of the door, talking with a friend of a friend and old acquaintance, you hear a painful scream and a thud. Someone had been murdered, and few of the guest have seemingly turned into a dust. Something is going on, and there is murder in the house sealed by snow storm outside. Cops can't be called and now you are learning that there exist somethings called "Mementos". They are reflections of persons guilt and deep emotions. Reflections that can't be told apart from a regular human until the moment of their death when they turn to dust, leaving one item behind to assure that it was once there. But the most important question stands: Who killed the innocent, will they kill again, are they even a human?
Standing around waiting for the storm to calm isn't an option, as the killer is not satisfied with just one victim.
So yeah, it's a murder mystery game with a TWIST! Supernatural twist but still a twist! But yeah, that is pretty much the story. The gameplay will be based on some of the well known RPG maker games, such as Mad Father, Ib and Witch's house. The project isn't too far along, basically the script about ready and most of the characters too. But I will work on this project when I feel like it ^^ It's a lot smaller than the project Snapdragon so it could be that I can finish this one before that but who knows.

- Project Space Mail
Oh my god, finally a game that I'm coding, as in real hacker man coding. Well, this project is also kinda team work project too, old one (I'm sorry Rain, lol). So I'm not the only one working on this, and as we both tend to be busy this will be also one of those "Will work on it if I feel like it" deals. I put this on the list mainly because it balances out all the writing and drawing I need in other projects with some coding. ^^ But yeah, we will see how this goes on as I get more comfortable with the code and figure out the designs for the main character.

Uum that is about it :D I can't think of anything more right now, but if any of you guys have any questions, ask in the comments and I will answer ^^

I'll be honest, your support has been amazing. I couldn't thank anyone enough for the love and support you guys showed to my comic. And I'm not going to fool myself, I understand that some of you were here just for the comic, and that perfectly fine ^^ I'm happy if people stick around to see my other projects and comics as well, but then again right now most of them are in a state I can't quite well just dump out there and will most likely take long time to finish. Still tho, thank you. I will be saying thank you a lot more in other post specifically about the comic, but yeah, it was such a distant dream of making a comic back then, and I went through a lot during the time I was making it. I'm sad to see it ending, but at the same time I'm so glad I made it through and got it into the end.
