Hawthorne Hall. A prestigious University in the United Kingdom where the super elite and most influential send their offspring to mold them into the next generation of captains of industry and rule makers.
Unlike other universities, Hawthorne run a boxing program which is open to both male and female combatants. Each year is a division where those who sign up, have bouts during the academic year to establish their rankings and the finalists fight for the title during the summer.
This tradition has been a cornerstone of the university's long history. It was designed to teach impeccable discipline and give the edge to alumni upon entering the highly competitive society that they must establish themselves in. Balancing intellectual and physical prowess was found to increase confidence, capability as well as developing a cut-throat competitive nature. The champion of each year was revered among students, which elevated them to God-like status.
Further to this, the rules of combat are that in their 1st year, students fight with headgear and singlets, but from the 2nd year onwards, fighters are topless, regardless of gender and with no headgear. The reason that both genders fight this way is to normalise and desexualise this level of nudity, as studies show the removal of inhibitions give the edge in business performance and any other endeavour where sexual urges can distract. These students would become laser focused and truly outshine those from other educational settings around the world.
Miss Walcott-Stone won the 1st year championship and Year 2 has begun.
