Perennial Q&A (as a means of Updates)

Hello beautifuls, it's been too long. I hope you've collectively been well, in spite of it all.
The point of this post is this link to a google form to submit questions for semi-regular Q&A/update videos, but there's an entire post you can read too if you'd like.

If you're wondering what's been going on with me, I have lots of plates spinning at the moment; I recently had an all-too-brief getaway, and an all-too-long bout of illness. I always have a million ideas, but when I've got the motivation I don't have the time, and when I have the time I don't have the motivation. And when I miraculously happen to have both, the bug game I've been waiting to play for 8 years comes out.

Headline stuff is that the main focus of my efforts is on the S6E9 video, which of course has been blown so far out of proportion in my head, to the point where conceptually it's a titan I have to slay instead of a fun video I get to make. That's a barrier to entry whenever I want to work on it, which doesn't make it easy but it's not going to stop me. 2026 has two HBO ASOIAF shows airing so if I don't find the time and motivation to make that video now, perhaps only the Seven will know when I will. The script is in good shape but I will not say it's close to complete. I am being very critical of this one — also, it's been quite a while since I made one of these.

I am also working on a YouTube-appropriate cut of The Fake Jon Snow. I'm keen to share that ridiculous thing with more people and to produce a less ludicrous way of experiencing it. It's a huge project to undertake but it's the sort of thing that simply requires constant chipping away at, like a marble statue or a big plate of nachos.

I am similarly whittling away at many musical projects; a solo album, the second Materia album, several ambitious a capella works, others still, all in various stages of production.

Beyond those projects, I am feeling dejected at my lack of output. I often feel the urge to create a lower-effort video just so I can make something, and of course I feel that you my supporters are owed something. But before long these thoughts give way to "oh but I should be focusing on the big projects, shouldn't I," and so nothing comes of that. Well, I would like to subvert that expectation, and actually make some of the many ideas I've had stored away for years. Regardless of one's experience and longevity in a creative field, there are muscles that need to be flexed regularly lest they atrophy. So you might see some more casual output from me, of perhaps not the highest calibre I'm capable of, perhaps not even concerning topics you signed up for, but at least I'll have made something.

One form of content I would like to at least trial is a semi-regular Q&A, with questions sent in by viewers (with preference to supporters). This would serve the dual functions of a) getting me to produce and publish a video, and 2) getting you the information you actually want out of me. Optional 3c) it might be fun. I am considering a periodicity of "once per 2 months" but we'll see how that stacks up to the influx of questions. To that end, I've made this google form where you can send questions in. This is the special form for supporters, please do not share it with icky non-supporters. And do limit yourself to one question per submission, to keep the data collection as trivial as possible. If you have multiple questions just submit multiple forms. As for the content of questions, please ask me just about anything. Be sensible, but not too sensible.

Your support means the world to me. From all of me here at Glimbus, thank you and bye-bye.

In terms of low-effort content, the live streams are excellent, while it isn't polished like a BlissTake, the polish comes from being immersed in this series for so long, the social dynamic with you and Alt and ya'lls optimism both in how ya'll analyze media / literature and relate it back to life. Also, your whimsy "Goat eyed viewers will see predators" I especially appreciate that you said something along the lines of "HoTD Season 2 had some amazing things and some terrible things. Not everything was in control of the showmakers, they wanted it to be good. A 1:1 copy of the book also wouldn't work." Its just a rare and very balanced opinion and as someone who loved the great parts about Season 2, thanks for having a community where we can discuss those things.
