It's just hard to believe that nobody in the crowd was happy or cheering about the giant lizard that killed hundreds of innocents being slain in battle. Not even the guys doing propaganda for the greens mentioned it during the parade.
Of course some might be thinking about what Rhaenyra is going to do, but they're starving already due to the blockade, the war already reached the smallfolk.

Not really, you can hear people in the crowd saying Rhaenyra will make the Greens answer for this, like, it's pretty clear that even though they might be glad Meleys is dead, it's also a reminder that at some point the war is going to come to them, and that's going to be bad.

Also, the "What would you have me do?" Was a Viserys thing and now we've seen both Aegon and Rhaenyra say it too.
They both inherited Viserys worst quality; inability to formulate plans of their own.

I mean, considering what happened with Meleys in episode 9, the people should be happy with that parading.
I guess the smallfolk kinda forgot about hundreds of them dying?

the mention of corlys' gifts being like a cat bringing in a half a rat reminded me of the time my cat (so eagerly) brought me a live centipede while I was in bed. :') like I love you but I am also Screaming

Wasn't Cersei always referred to as My Queen and Your Grace throughout her tenure as Queen Consort, Regent, and Dowager? Why tf is Simon being so weird about referring to Daemon properly?

Christon‘s behaviour after returning was basically gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss except he directed his gaslighting and gatekeeping at the girlboss, so slight misunderstanding there

It's to make it easier to share on both of our patreons. We've also received a few complaints about Patreons player. Seems like there's no satisfying solution

As a first born, I feel that every first born has a period when they said the second born is the favourite. Interestingly, my sibling says the same about me ^^

Re: "my favorite son..." -- there was a scene in season 1, episode 4 where Viserys was insisting that Daemon was always their mother's favorite. Perhaps that seeped into his subconscious.

After hearing the discussion, maybe Willem Blackwood is the person that Daemon beheads?? (as we see in the trailers). Not only does it solve the political problem of willem carrying the targaryen banner. It's also a way for Daemon to take away a "sin"/mistake he did. That would show the guilt he's been processing since that arc has to go somewhere. We cant have Daemon aknowledge his feeling and not do something with it??. Just a thought though :)

im only 10 mins in so this mightve come up:
do you reckon the dragon skull on dragonstone belongs to meraxes or quicksilver?
its certainly big enough to be meraxes but quicksilver was killed by another dragon so it could be a lil forshadowy metaphor that getting dragons to duke it out aint a good idea

If I was a HOTD writer, I would have had Cristons hand necklace tangle on something when he fell and choke him slightly or perhaps get hot from dragon fire and burn him. So this episode we can see him take off the chain and see how it’s left it’s scars on him, showing what the weight of being hand is doing to his mental state

Criston cleaning the sword with a perfectly healthy juicy lemon also contrasts the moldy orange Cat has to conform with; showing how out of touch with the commonfolk the people at the top are.

Is there a reason why this video and the episode 4 video are not inbeded in patreon but are instead youtube provided? Makes putting them in the background on mobile impossible

Even though it's a bit frustrating I really like the story with Daemon and Rhaenyra. We see how they kind of need eachother through their actions and the continued parallels. How Daemons weakness is 'Nyras strength (and viceversa). She's a good diplomat and sovereign but not a soldier,, and Daemon's the opposite. He's good at taking action but sucks at everything else - just in this episode he asked the blackwoods to commit warcrimes and has now backfired (just like with Jaehaerys). Mostly because of the restrictions on gender, like whats expected of rhaenyra and daemon. They both are powerful people who's strength and weakness differ and complement one another. Imagine how much easier it would be for Rhaenyra at her council if she had someone like Daemon at her side. She wouldn't dare to be questioned. How easier it would be for Daemon to have someone with a great mind - trained to be a politican (as a successor to a point) to negotiate,, 'cause no one respects a tyrant (as they said in the end of this episode). The brute force of targaryen surpremacy obviously isn't working in the riverlands, restricted to the old/new godswhere they valure their afterlife just as much as their current. Another example is when 'Nyra said she needed to learn every lord's name (we even saw her commenting on the conflict in 1x6) whereas daemon couldnt even tell the difference between bracken and blackwoods. Ultimately, I think this arc shows us the "invisible string" between them. The paralleling is a good way to develop their relationship, more specifically the power dynamic between them - forcing them understand the value of one another power wise, not just romantically/personally. Even though I'm sure this particular problem is going to be a constant one. I honestly believe if they worked 2gether from the start the greens would not benefit as much as they have. They would be a force to be reckoned with, which is one of the reasons they got married. "we were made to burn together" ans the fear and power they would demonstrate
