Agree, and as the grandmother of one of team black's dragon riders (who stands zero chance against Vhagar), I have no problem believing she would risk her life on the chance of removing that threat to Beala.

2024-07-13 15:25:10 +0000 UTCI think Rhaenys choosing not to flee is indicative of her choice to not end the war in kings landing. I think she doesn’t know she will die, but she’s accepting she probably will. I think she’s lost so much already to this war for succession that she’s tired of running away, she wants to get it over with. Either take out Aemond and have both of Viserys’ male heirs taken out, or maybe be able to slip away and only extend the war. I think it was great characterization to kind of remedy her awful choice in episode 9 of season 1.

Once that passed and she’s at rook’s rest it’s go time. She sees Aegon fall out of the sky. Must presume him dead. On her first pass meleys wounded Vhagar. In her head she’s thinking if I have any chance to kill Vhagar I have to take it because the war would be over

2024-07-12 18:33:56 +0000 UTCI think the scene where a young Rhaenyra says Viserys loved her more is a reflection of Daemon's subconscious insecurity and that he confused Viserys not being able to trust Daemon with how much he loved Daemon, as the older version of Rhaenyra explained to him in the previous episode.

2024-07-12 17:41:33 +0000 UTCFor the final scene with Aemon and Aegon at the crashsite, I disagree it looks anything like Aemon wanting to kill him. He clearly sees his condition, then finds the dagger. The way he holds the sword is only sensible if he intended to sheath it, even before he heard Cole shout. The way I see it, Aemon seems satisfied with what he's done, walking away with a bit of smugness.
