thirdly - and the main reason i've brought you all here - i've come to a realisation that i definitely should have had months ago. having a $1 tier is stupid and i'm stupid for doing it. not, like, season 7 stupid. i've always thought of myself as more of a season 5 stupid.
really all that's happening is i've hidden the old $1 "neat" tier and replaced it with a new $3 "neat" tier. this is because - after platform rates, pateron's cut, and tax - i don't get very much of the $1. but as a percentage i get a lot more of $3. it's in my best interest to make this change, as i get more money, sure, but it's also in your best interest because more of what you pledge to support me actually makes it to me. and i figure to most people the difference between $1 and $3 a month isn't that huge.
patrons already in the $1 "neat" tier will obviously not be kicked out of it - lucky you, you get to keep the benefits for the old lower price! and new people can still choose to support with $1, i guess, if they want.
