April Collection First Look: Excruciarch Clerics of the Ebonwrack Pit

Submit to the agonising beneficence of She Who Sleeps In Shadow, craven serfs, and bow before the heralds of her wondrous despair!

Too much? Okay, we’ll dial the fire and brimstone back a bit. We’re just getting in the mood for April’s disturbing collection of pre-supported miniatures – Excruciarch Clerics of the Ebonwrack Pit!

The deluded adherents of this rag-tag sect have each walked very different paths in their miserable lives, but for all the ultimate destination is the same – the bosom of the pernicious goddess Sha’dra and the maze-like catacombs of the Ebonwrack Pit. Here the Cult of the Excruciarchy dwells in darkness, plotting to hasten the day when the whole world shall embrace the divine truth of redemption through suffering.

The pit itself is said to have been formed in aeons past when mighty Ur-Raam plunged the spear Vindahandye into the earth, driving it through the heart of the demon-haunted underworld itself. Indeed, the uttermost bowels of the pit have never been discovered, and there are depths into which even the clerics of the Excruciarchy dare not delve.

Today we’re revealing some of the varied denizens of this foul abyss; a roving band of Excruciarch novitiates, Umbalor the Unseeing and Magistress Dominia d’Payne. Our artists, designers and sculptors have truly gone all-in making these guys as weird as the human imagination will allow. Just try and wrap your head around the logistics of how Dominia’s Palanquin of Torment gets from one place to another!
