====================================

5 November 2030, 7.45am.

“Eririn! You can't wear those!"

Misha said as she pointed to Ellie's shorts. The S-class members were already all gathered in the classroom, the men in butler uniforms and the women in maid uniforms.

The skirts of the maids' uniforms are shorter than the skirts of the school uniforms, about the same size as the mini-skirts of the school uniforms of the coolest JKs in Japan. However, Ellie is the only one wearing shorts under her skirt, as usual.

“You know what Clarice always says! Absolute territory is important!”*1

What do you mean always... What exactly are they talking about between
themselves... I glanced towards Clarice and our eyes met, and Clarice quickly took her eyes off me.

Oh yeah, there’s no such word for maid cafe in this world, right? Only Clarice and I know the word maid cafe right. …naturally, I have never used the word maid cafe in this world. And yet the fact that Misha knows what a maid cafe is...Just what kind of conversation are the Reimei girls having in the their room?

“...too short...Mine is only for Mars...I don't show it to others...”

When Ellie said that, Misha too added.

“I can understand that, you know. It's good to make it look like you can see it, but you can't. ...hey Mars? Don't you think so?”

Oi! What a topic of conversation! No matter what I say, I'll just be labelled as a pervert...

"Err...well... I don't know... it's more like how do I say this..."

When I tried to mince words, Misha said.

“What? More? Even I'm embarrassed if you want to see more. ...look, Eririn! Mars says so too, take it off!"

Misha forcefully took off Ellie's shorts. Even if she is wearing shorts, taking off the things inside the skirt is...e…ero-…I should control myself.

The venue for the maid cafe will be the same as yesterday in the S-class classroom. Learning from the lessons(?) of yesterday, Duke Regan made a proposal: Let's have a raffle for all the tickets for the maid café in Year 1 S class. The lottery is free, and we don't charge for seats. ...it's now a very normal maid cafe.

Duke Regan said that the handshakes were school-led, but he would let the maid cafés be student-led.

However, this lottery ticket system was a bit of a failure... There are resellers everywhere in the world...and the people who can buy tickets at abnormally inflated prices are a very limited number of people...

At 8 o'clock, the maid cafe opens. The first 30 customers came in. Eight of us started serving them.

What is different from Japanese maid cafés is that we don't say "Welcome home. Master" and don't act like a maid. The concept is to have a fun, dream-like time with beautiful girls dressed in maid outfits.

And maybe it's not really a maid cafe because we the men also entertain female customers...

At first, I was firmly trying to push for maid role-plays but apparently Ellie and Karen weren't very good at it so I gave up. According to Ellie, there's only one master for her while according to Karen...

The guests will be very happy even without the maid role acting. Well, I suppose that's true. To have a very beautiful girl sitting nearby. How can there be any complaints...

The price for a cup of beans and a glass of juice is set at one iron coin, or 1,000 Japanese yen which I think is a very reasonable price. Well, it might be expensive compared to Japanese cultural festivals.

The area where Clarice, Misha and Minerva sat was very lively all three were apparently good at getting men on board. I believed Misha and Minerva were somewhat good at customer service but I’m surprised that Clarice was also good at it.

When I told Clarice later of my opinion later, I was told, "Don't underestimate a convenience store clerk." Ellie and Karen seemed to be doing well but I guess the customers were grateful just to be sitting next to them.

The nearby customers were happy, and Misha and Minerva were nearby to Ellie and Karen, who were not very talkative, and followed up with them properly.

Since the female customers seemed satisfied, Baron is apparently good at talking to women.

“Where are you from?” “How long are you staying in Regan?” “What do you usually do?” ...is he picking up girls? Dominic and I followed Baron's lead and try our best to talk to the girls.

After an hour, Ike and senior glasses arrived as employees, and the customers are excited by the unexpected surprise. It goes without saying that Ike is popular but I didn't realize that senior glasses is popular too...

It was 10.00am and time for a break. Only for today we have a three-hour break from 10:00 to 13:00.

Because yesterday and the day before I had been shaking hands all the time and hadn't been able to enjoy the Lister Festival at all so I wanted to take this opportunity to take a break at once.

Incidentally, from tomorrow onwards, one of us will take a break separately but I'll take a break when Ike arrives and Clarice will take a break when the senior glasses arrives.

We all changed our clothes and walked around the school. Incidentally, we all changed into our uniforms. Unsurprisingly, they don't want to wander around in maid's uniforms. We men followed suit and wore uniforms. Ike and the senior glasses went back to their own presentations.

We headed for the fifth-year’s wing.

When I was near the building, I heard "Kyaa!” and "Waa!" screams. ...I wondered if this might be...

I rushed up to the building and found it to be a jet coaster. Of course there were no rails or anything like that... but it was powered by Wind magic! Apparently, all the 4th and 5th year students Wind magicians were running the jet coaster.

"A-Amazing... So it’s possible to do this with Wind magic..."

While I was taken aback, Karen commented.

“Eh? You didn't know about that? It's a specialty of the Lister Festival. And there's also a rapids*2 made possible with Water magic that let you go up and down, you know?”

I-I'd love to try... but right now my priority is to see the various different places. Only Clarice and I had a gleam in our eyes toward the jet coaster. Everyone else knew about it...I'll ride this one when I come alone.

When I entered the wing where the fifth year’s classrooms were located, it was basically a different world... and when a warm breeze blew, a live head spoke to me.

"Welcome... to the school graveyard.... How many of you are there....?"

My hips were shattered in a spectacular way when suddenly a lifeless head spoke to me. I was the only boy who was... incidentally, the only girl who was also sitting down, Clarice.

"Is this also a staple activity...?"

I asked Karen.

“Yes, it is. But don't worry. Everyone will be bowled over by this one. When I first came here, I too was...a bit of a soiling..."

Karen said shyly, and Misha too.

“What!? Karen, you too? I peed my pants too and my mom got mad at me.”

she said with a laugh. To laugh loudly while talking about leaking…what a girl. The haunted house was also held jointly by 4th and 5th year students.

The fourth and fifth year students on the haunted side all seemed to be having fun. In the end, I didn't enter the haunted house because it would have taken a long time to visit a haunted house that takes up an entire building. This is, too, something that I’ll want to visit alone later...

In this way, the performances are not organized by class or by grade. I found out that they cooperated with other classes and grades to make the Lister Festival more exciting in order to make it better for everyone.

This year, I was unable to prepare for the festival because I was in the territory of

Margrave Isaac but next year I will work with other classes and students of different grades to make the festival more exciting and put on a better show. It will be a good memory if we participate in this kind of event.

We left the haunted house and headed to our next destination. I still didn't know about Sofia and Alice who were carried out of the haunted house after fainting...soon after we left the haunted house.

Author’s note:

Even as an adult, I'm still afraid of haunted houses.

TLN: Isn’t that fine? What’s scary is scary and what’s painful is painful. It’s more worrying if a human loses his/her senses. I’m not justifying myself nor the author.
