Chapter 109 : A Fight You Want, A Fight You Get

The man lurking behind Kobe leaned forward.

This macho man with an unattractive appearance was a former member of Kuroyume that boasted the fastest fight picker in the company, ‘Gorindaman’. He was one of the best in Kuroyume in terms of strength.

As a former member of Kuroyume, his role was to let people know that Kuroyume was the main culprit behind the terrorist attack.

“So, am I allowed to kill them?”

“One~two~three~four~five~……In the meantime, I will just kill five of you. I am the chief brawler of Kuroyume, Gorindaman! Whoever wants to die first, come and get me!”

One of the soldiers attacked Gorindaman with his enhanced physical abilities. However, the soldier was knocked headfirst to the ground after three full revolutions in the air by one of Gorindaman's lariats.

“Ok, next!”

The four soldiers attacked simultaneously from front, back, left and right. Each of them was using some kind of gift to attack at the same time, but Gorindaman quickly beat them down.

“It’s already six people? That's not enough~. I guess I'll just have to kill them all, leaving just one behind then.”

The remaining soldiers were stuck staring at Gorindaman like frogs staring at a snake.

Gorindaman's fist striked the soldier. It was so powerful that it could burst his head with a single blow.

However, Gorindaman's fist was flipped by a transparent shield that suddenly appeared in front of him.

“This is…… It's you lil’ shit, Crow.”

There, at the entrance of the theater, stood Kuroyume's number eight, Crow.

“Long time no see, Gori. I haven't seen you for a while~ You're looking uglier and uglier, aren't you?”

Crow slowly walked towards Gorindaman. At the sight of the numbered Crow coming out after Gorindaman, the soldiers of the NDF were completely demoralized.

Crow and Gorindaman were furiously firing guns at each other. The existence of the NDF had already become a pebble on the side road to them.

Crow and Gorindaman. Their first encounter with each other dated back to middle school.

The two of them awakened to their gifts at about the same time. Since both gifts were useful, they were recommended to join the NDF after graduating from high school but as delinquents, they wanted to defy the government so they refused to join.

Then, someone made an attempt to eliminate them both. This man is one class above the two who have just awakened to their abilities and thus the two were prepared to die.
……However, it was Kiryu who saved them and brought them to Kuroyume.

“I'm grateful to boss. This is how we got out of Kuroyume and are now free. But why do we, the filth, now have to wag our tails at the specialists and ordinary people who persecuted us? Is that okay with you guys?”

“……I'm just following my boss. I owe that man a debt of gratitude I can never repay back in a lifetime.”

“Keh, a fucking coward like you, getting picked as the numbers……”

Gorindaman clenched his fists tightly. That was the signal.

“You've said enough. From now on, we talk with our fists! Feckless ex-partner!”

Gorindaman started to run towards Crow, but his path was blocked by an invisible shield.

Suddenly, an invisible shield appeared in front of Gorindaman. Then, one after another, the shields appeared to surround Gorindaman, and finally trapped him completely.

In the enclosed space, Gorindaman complained to Crow.

Crow was thinking of bringing Gorindaman back to Kuroyume, even though Gorindaman had been complicit in this terrorist attack.

A powerful blow from Gorindaman cracked one of the shields.

“Oh, God…… Just leave me alone. I have no regrets about dying as long as I can rampage as I please. I don't have any lofty ideals like you or the boss……”

A shield was destroyed. However, Crow's gift, ‘Invisible Shield’ is a rank A ability. It's in the same system as Invisible Slash, and the gift holder can make it appear as much as he wants as long as your proficiency is high enough. In spite of this, Crow never made the shield appear again.

“What's with you? You didn't even consult me when you left Kuroyume. Were you sulking over such a trivial matter? What nonsense!”

“Sulk? You're wrong. It’s me who gave up on you. You've become a spoiled brat.”

Crow really thought that if he could talk to him up front, maybe Gorindaman would come back to him. When he came here, he was surprised to see that Gorindaman was there. Because if he didn't do anything, he would have to get rid of that guy as a traitor. But at the same time, he thought it was an opportunity.

In the end, though, his expectation was in vain…….
