Chapter 85 : Arrival in Germany

“Uoooo! We finally arrived, GERMANY!”

Kouki, Rumi, and Hannah were giving him a cold stare from a distance as Takahiko yelled his first words as he walked out of the Munich airport.

In case you are wondering, when you use a transfer stone, you need to place a certain device at the coordinates of the location but Kuroyume did not have one at this location so they had to travel by plane. Afterwards, they are planning to use the transfer stone on the way back.

“Hmm? What is it? Since we're finally in a foreign country, why are you guys not more excited?”

“You really are... We' re here to find Hannah's sister! We' re not here to play, okay?”

“That’s true, butー! There's three of Kuroyume’s Numbers here, right? It'll be easy! Don’t you think so too, last boss!”

In the past year, Teaser had developed her talent and become recognized as the number ten.

In contrast to the very excited Takahiko, Kouki was calm.

“What the hell, even you Kouki. But I understand you, you know? You really want to get it on with that German chick, don't you?”

Rumi's stab-killing gaze pierced Takahiko. While he was looking at her, Takahiko was activating his God's Eye towards Kouki.

“……Sigh, God's Eye won’t work, okay? I'm properly putting up resistance against it. You're gonna have to give up trying to activate God's Eye on me.”

“Kouki is nothing like you! Not at all!”

’Good grief’, Kouki sighed.

The car that picked them up was a black limousine.

The four of them immediately get into a limousine and head for the client's place.

They were told that the client this time was someone in the top of the German government, but unlike Japan, Germany does not have a major discrimination against people with gift nor is there a clear divide between those with gift and those without.

Only those gifteds who have actually committed crimes are called filths. In a sense, this is a country that has already realized the ideals of Kuroyume.

Kouki stared at the window of the car during the journey, looking at the cityscape of Munich. There are many historical buildings, museums, etc., giving him the impression of a calm city.

“Thank you for coming! Gentlemen of Kuroyume! My name is Adolf Buchwald. Strictly speaking I’m the former chairman of the federal parliament. I look forward to working with you.”

Hannah originally has German blood in her veins, while Rumi had mastered five languages including German, and Takahiko that could directly translate foreign languages as part of his God's Eye ability. In other words, Kouki was the only one here who could not recognize German words. Kuroyume's mobile device had a simultaneous language translation function but he didn't use it at the moment and Rumi was translating directly to his ear.

“You're that Darkflash Bright! The cartoon based on you is very popular in Germany. I can brag this to my grandchildren when I tell them I met you in the flesh.”

This was also a part of Kuroyume's campaign to spread Bright's activities more widely in the media through manga and anime. This was a bigger hit outside of Japan than in the local, and the manga and anime version of ‘BRIGHT’ has become a huge hit all over the world. There is even talk of a Hollywood movie version.

“Somehow…… I feel embarrassed.”

“Besides, if a young, handsome guy like you turns out to be Bright, women all over the world might fall for you.”

…….Rumi instantly knew that she couldn't translate the words as is……

“He said he didn't expect Bright to be such a young man.”

He told Kouki with a slightly different nuance but Takahiko tried to object to this.

……Takahiko tried to disagree with Rumi's interpretation but Rumi's single glare downed him without any resistance. Rumi's glare, as read by the God's Eye, was interpreted as ‘say any extra stuff, I'll kill you’.

Kiryu had given them a rough idea of what the kidnappings were about, and it seemed that the government was aware of the high possibility that this Core was involved in the frequent kidnappings in Germany.

The conversation continued as planned, and they decided on their future course of action.

“There is no policy, no nothing, Why don't we just let Bright infiltrate and get the evidence and be done with it?”

As Teaser said, Kouki's Silent Stealth has reached a level where it is impossible for the average person to detect. But that doesn't mean it's perfect.

With a languid atmosphere in the air, the mission to investigate the kidnapping in Germany begins.

Kouki and Rumi arrive at the village at the foot of Core's laboratory, where they hear the suspicions around Core from an old villager.
