In order to avoid strange guys approaching her, he hid the fact that Fuuka was his granddaughter at the early stage, albeit with the exception of a few people. ...however, this approach of his backfired because Fuuka was too outstanding, and that's why some people in the NDF ridiculed her for being overrated...

A huge ice blade appeared above Fuuka's head. Then that huge ice blade was shot at Bright.

Fuuka's gifts. One is ‘Water Master’. It is the ability to control the temperature and properties of water on earth. Her gift rank is A+.

However, Bright evaded the ice blade that was released, leaving an afterimage behind.

“What’s the matter? Your expression changed, you know?”

“...my, if that's what it looks like to you, then perhaps you have something wrong with your eyes?”

“Hmph, how long do you think you can keep that up?”

He activated Speed Star. He tried to close the gap, but Fuuka responded with an ice machine gun to stop him from getting close.

“Naive! You can't stop me with this!”

The ice bullets that Fuuka fired were blocked by the shield that Bright created with Lonsdaleite.

This was the close combat that Fuuka had feared. In addition to the speed, the power of Bright's attack was much higher than hers.

“ORAORAORAA!!”

A high-speed fist! However, Fuuka also wore wind around her body, and she was able to pass Bright's attack like a willow.

Fuuka's second gift, ‘World of Windham’. This is a gift ranked at S-. A gift that bears the name ‘World.’

A bright aurora-colored blizzard, even brighter than the previous one, hit Bright.

Realizing that he was in danger, Bright tried to wrap his entire body in Lonsdaleite again...but here he was interfered yet again.

“WORLD MASTER！！！”

Hiro shouted, and suddenly Bright was unable to move.

“I'm not going to run away anymore…. Bright, I'm grateful to you. I've been able to let out my buried feelings and reorganize my emotions. But, I'm…a soldier of the National Defense Force that Kouki had been dreaming of! That's why I'm going to defeat you!”

Hiro had taken control of Bright's movements.

(What the hell!? He can even control his opponent's movements! And ‘World Master’? He… Has he awakened just right a moment ago!?)

Hiro’s shattered pride. The negative emotions that he had accumulated over the years.... Suddenly, Hiro heard a voice in the back of his mind, freeing him from these feelings.

『...Area Master has met the requirements and has evolved into World Master.』

There are higher and lower variants in gifts. And, depending on the conditions, gifts can evolve.

Hiro's Area Master had undergone an awakening and had evolved into a "World Master", a gift ranked at S+.

World Master is a gift possessed by ‘Elvin Kruger’, the hero who died in the battle against The Progenitor, Unknown, and was considered as the strongest specialist in the world.

(What the hell is this, a protagonist's correction!? This guy, so he wasn't just a piece of shit after all!?)

In Bright's mind, Hiro changes from a hypocrite bastard not worth killing to a rival meant to be defeated.

This was the moment Hiro had been craving for so long, the moment when Kouki recognized him...

“A convenient protagonist correction for the frustrated elite? ...You gotta be kidding me~…”

“GUuuUOOOAAAAAHーーーー!”

Bright screamed like a demon. An aurora blizzard relentlessly rained down on his body.

And then... the raging storm stopped. And there stood...

“Wha-… I knew it, this guy… he really is a demon…?”

“Kuh… His power… it’s too powerful to control!”

There, as if to further strengthen his jet-black birdman equipment, Bright, covered in a Lonsdaleite protector, stood leisurely.

Bright, who was greeted by the crisis and also by the fact that he now had two new rivals, had also awakened.

…you have met the requirements, Elemental Windr has evolved into the World of Windham.』

And with his awakening, Speed Star evolved into a gift ranked at S, ‘Flash’, and Elemental Windr, oddly enough, evolved into World of Windham, the same as Fuuka.

Furthermore, Bright had become significantly more proficient at using Invisible Slash, Silent Stealth, and Lonsdaleite, which have no superior variant.

“……KUHKUHKU, THIS IS AMAZING! The power is flowing out of me! Hiro...... I'm... going to quit being human at this rate!!”

Anyone who has seen him, will utter the same thing. It's as if he was literally a jet-black demon who had come down to this world to lead it to ruin.
