Chapter 7 : Revived Hunter

......... A voice suddenly echoed in Kouki's head.

Activated? Activation? ...unknown words resounded in him.

He is going to die anyway. Since that’s the case, this voice is a hallucination before death?

The man chuckled. Meanwhile Kouki felt like a frog being stared down by a snake. The man who had killed him once is right in front of him.

...But a strange feeling was awakening in Kouki. The man in front of him had killed him once. He hates him. Because he killed you...kill him back...so it says.

"Sigh...Thanks to the squabble with you the National Defense Force found out my whereabouts, you know. I'd like to vent my frustrations on you right here and now, but I don't have the time to spare."

Kurosaki took his gaze away from Kouki. Apparently he has no interest in dealing with Kouki. The moment Kouki felt relieved, Kurosaki moved towards him.

His breathing stops....

The man comes towards Kouki with his hand piercing out as he approaches. He couldn't see the man's actions at all before but now he could see them clearly.

Kurosaki’s knifehand that was supposed to finish Kouki after letting down his guard is dodged narrowly.

Kouki too was surprised by himself. He thought he hadn’t been able to use Speed Star’s ability yet. But from the fact that he was able to respond to that attack suggests that the ability may have been activated.
