Chapter 2 : Premonition of Love?

Public high school Akemiya.

Half of the high school students living in the New Tokyo Metropolitan Area go to this school, and the deviation score is quite normal.

New Tokyo was divided into 23 wards until 2020, but now it is categorized into 5 areas: North, Center, South, East and West (the places are further subdivided within each of the 5 areas).

This is because the population had decreased significantly, and by narrowing the area it serves to concentrate the defense line as a measure against the phenom during the reconstruction. Although the population has grown steadily today in 2070, it is still only two-thirds of 2020.

There are more than 1,000 students at Akemiya High School, and they are basically grouped like this: A group for those who are gifted and capable, B group for those who have vague gifts in terms of power, and other groups for those who are not gifted.

Kouki was searching for his class on the posted class list on the notice board. Kouki who has no gift is in the G group.

“Yo, Kouki. How are you?”

“Takahiko. I’m in the same class as you again...”

While he was looking at the notice board with the new class list, Matoba Takahiko came to talk to him.

He has been a friend of Kouki's since junior high school, but he is a pain in the ass for reasons different from Hiro’s.

“Hahahah...as long as I’m here, not to mention the girls’ 3 sizes in this class, their address, LEINE (Line/Social App), and even their favourite and hated foods, I can get all their information no matter what! Be more grateful to me!”

Matoba Takahiko. Also known as God Eye.

In the beginning, all the girls were wary of him as a stalker who liked women, but he was not just any stalker.

His information is so accurate that it is frightening. It’s to the point where you would feel amazed at how he knows all those information. But as a result, his information was much appreciated by the teachers and as well as the students.

I want to confess my love to the girl I like. Yes! Let's ask Matoba for some advice!

I want to confess my feelings to the boy I like. That's right! Let's ask Matoba for advice!

I want to know that student’s behavior lately. Oh right! Let's ask Matoba to find out!

The number of couples of both boys and girls who had found their love thanks to his advice in the previous year numbers over 30 pairs. He's also been asked by teachers to help with issues related to truancy and even bullying.

“I don't need your information. You should worry less about other people and more about yourself.”

“Hmph! I'm the god of love in this school, you know? As long as everyone is happy, I am fine with just......... as if! I want to be happy too! Kouki, introduce me to someone!”

“Are you stupid? Do you think I would know any girl that I can introduce you to? In the first place, won’t it be easy if you just use your ability to gather information for yourself?”

It's not that Takahiko has a bad face. His ability to gather information is remarkable, and above all, his advice on relationships is spot on. There are a lot of men and women who are grateful to him… But for the average student, the fact that their information would easily be leaked to him is by no means pleasant despite his incredible ability. No one is willing to sacrifice their personal information to go out with him. Hence, it is likely that he will never have a girlfriend.

“That’s why if I could, I wouldn’t have suffered like this! Aaa….I want to fall in love. I want a pretty, and sweet girlfriend that I have no information of in my memory!”

“...you, if that’s the case then hold back on your information gathering...”

“No, thanks! Gathering information is my identity, and information is what changes the world! Besides, there's going to be a new student in this class today!”

When he heard the word "transfer student", Kouki thought of the girl from this morning. But just the number of students in the second year is over 300, and the same could be said for the new students. It is not very likely that the new student will be the same girl from this morning.

(Also, that girl is probably interested with Hiro, in the end it doesn’t concern me)

...as the time for morning homeroom came, the homeroom teacher walked into the classroom. The homeroom teacher's name is Kurosawa, a middle-aged man with black-rimmed glasses.

“......and because of that I'm introducing you to a transfer student. Come on in~”

After finishing his greetings for the new academic year, Kurosawa invited the transfer student into the classroom.

While his classmates are scrambling excited, Mitsuki turns his attention to the new student who opened the classroom door without any particular expectation.

“...... Ah…”

He couldn’t help but leaked out his voice. Because the one standing there is the same girl from this morning that he had little expectations of being the transfer student. Cute...or to be more precise the beautiful girl that looks perfect with her short-cut hair style. She’s the perfect bull’s eye as Kouki’s type of girl.

“I'm Mizutani Fuuka. I moved to the East Area from the Center Area. It's nice to meet you.”

The boys cheer as Mizutani Fuuka greets them. For the girls, Mizutani Fuuka's beauty is like that of a celebrity and they could only sigh with admiration.

Meanwhile, Kouki’s attention too is glued to Mizutani Fuuka.

The possibility is very low. So he did not have much expectations. However if she really happens to be in the same class, he’ll be happy. Even if she’s interested in Hiro. What he was only imagining, had become reality.

Unable to awaken his gift, Kouki had almost given up hope in his life. That very same Kouki was amazed at this little miracle.

“Anyway, Mizutani's seat is over there. Oi Suo, since you're sitting next to her, you should help her with the various things.”

Moreover, that Mizutani's seat was next to his own. His face suddenly became tense due to being nervous.

Mizutani took her seat next to him and smiled at him.

“Uhm...I’m sorry about this morning”

“Oh, no, don't worry about it.”

“Thank you. But it's a miracle that we're in the same class and that we're sitting next to each other now, don’t you think.”

As he watched Mizutani with such a dazzling smile on her face, Mitsuki felt a little better in regards to believing in miracles.
