Upcoming events, MYO growths/edits, plans.

Alrighty! Now that things with the site are starting to stabilize and the mods/users are getting more comfortable with all the new processes, I'd like to take a sec to talk about upcoming plans. There's only a little over 2 months left in the year.. and uh, I have some feelings about 2020, well I'm sure everyone has feelings. It's been. Intense, just all around (P.S. if you're in the US, please please vote if you're able to). 

Upcoming events:

There's been so much happening this year that we haven't been able to run any of our normal events x_x. I know that Kittsunami in particular is one that people look forward to every year, so I'll address that first and confirm that it will return to its February time slot (2021). In fact, starting next year all events will return to their usual timeframes. We are tentatively planning a Winter event (we should have details on this in Nov if things look like they're proceeding well), but aside from that we'll be focusing mostly on group approvals and (for myself) general worklist catch up and finishing the guide updates for the rest of the year. 

MYO growth/edit sale:

Now, because we'll be focusing on approvals for the next few months and because Kittsunami is returning in Feb, I'll be doing another round of MYO growths/edits. I'll be posting them on Sunday to the Noble tier, so keep an eye out for that if it's something you're interested in. It'll likely be a 2-3 day window on claims, so there won't be an immediate time crunch, but there won't be any more slots available until after next year's Kittsunami so keep that in mind!  

Just like with the faenin slots previously, these will be done with the help of the mods to keep things streamlined. I'll have all the details you guys need for the sale posted on Sunday.

Important note on approval closures for Kittsunami and Modcation:

Kittsunami will be next year in February. That's a bit over 3 months away, which hopefully will be enough of a time window for everyone to get their elnins all squared away for breedings because we will be closing approvals for the duration of Kittsunami. We want to make sure the team is able to focus on making the event a great experience for everyone and not completely burn themselves out in the process. 

Following Kittsunami, we will have our mandated Modcation. Approvals will reopen immediately after the event so people can get their things submitted HOWEVER, they will be processed very slowly and only by mods who are sticking around for some reason and not taking their break like they're supposed to sgjkhld *squintsquint*. I'm mentioning this ahead of time because I want to make sure everyone is prepared for the break in approvals and to let the mods recharge after such a long and hectic year and what is bound to be an insane amount of work between now and when Kittsunami ends.
