VA commissions for Emi Lo (voice of Maomao from Apothecary Diaries)
Added 2025-07-02 11:41:36 +0000 UTCSome of you might have already seen it, but I had the great honor to draw not one but TWO commissions for the voice of Maomao: Emi Lo (@KitsuneSqueak).
It was a huge honor to work on these with Emi, especially because Maomao is one of my favorite manga/anime characters ever since the manga started releasing in Germany.
This weekend Emi will be at AX, where you can get signed prints, so if you're in or around LA and visiting, make sure to drop by and say hi to them!
During the process of drawing up this commission I originally made 4 different thumbnails for Emi to pick from, after I got the general ideas for the illustrations laid out. This was what we came up with together, and ultimately the choice was to finish two of them!
The idea was to have Maomao in the same illustration as the cat (which is also named Maomao) for a portrait style picture! 💚
