THE ROLE

As Yieldschool’s YouTube Writer, you'll craft the stories and lessons for some of the most sophisticated investors.

You'll be collaborating with the content lead, video editors, designers, to craft viral-educational short-form and long-form videos. You won’t just be “creating content” — you’ll be ensuring the ideas that matter most get delivered to the world at scale.

You’ll own the process from researching the trending topics in the niche, ideating YouTube videos to writing and refining the script.

You’ll generate and convert the best ideas into polished final videos.

You’ll synthesize advanced storytelling techniques, deep YouTube-native expertise, and elite retention-optimization to write world-class crypto-native scripts and then work closely with the editors to ruthlessly cut raw footage to adhere to your vision.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a YouTube Scriptwriter, YouTube Strategist, YouTube Producer/Manager or similar role with documented results (must be able to provide examples of scripts you wrote that got large amounts of views)

• Knowledge in crypto and decentralized finance is a plus.

• You’re a true student of both creative and persuasive writing, with a deep understanding of narrative structure and theory, storytelling methodologies, copywriting techniques, and how to employ ethos (credibility), pathos (emotional appeals), and logos (logical reasoning) in your writing to influence and entertain an audience.

• You live, eat, & breathe YouTube — you have a deep understanding of YouTube meta cultures and trends, knowledge of creators across various niches (NOT gaming), and a mastery over viral video formats, concepts, titles, thumbnails, scripts/outlines, retention-optimized editing, and YouTube analytics.

• Expert communicator and problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate creative concepts and feedback between clients and the creative team.
