There's some news to report!
HD rendering engine
I found a new rendering engine that supports the following resolutions.
4K UHD
(5K, 6K, 7K)
8K UHD
(10K,12K, 16K)
The amazing thing about this engine is that the 4K, 8K Result has a better graphical representation than the draft. The project outline is what I see on the monitor as I develop the animations. That really surprised me in a positive way.
The attached video by Seline shows an extreme case of the representation. No video of mine will ever have this movement of camera positions. But the result of the rendering engine is amazing and extremely smooth, which I love. Also, Seline's movements and her physical effects are really, really, really good.
Behind all the high-resolution graphic diversity are long waiting times during rendering. With a 5 minute video you have to expect hours of waiting time. Depending on the computational performance. The real problem with a long video of about 5 minutes is the resulting file size. A 5 minute video breaks the 1GB limit if we don't want to lose the clarity of the skin and textures.
I did a lot of tests. Some pictures are attached here. I have come to the decision to only create 4K videos. I will not offer 1080p as standard and 4K at extra cost. This is too time-consuming for long videos. Those who prefer FHD (1080p) will have to downgrade the 4K video.
Preview images
All preview images will of course be available in the respective size, namely 4K.
8K resolution
If you are interested in 8K videos, please leave a comment here or write to me. I want to know how much interest there is in 8K.
VR 180, VR 360 stereo rendering
The engine also supports rendering VR videos. I don't have VR glasses, but if you want to watch the videos in VR stereoscopic 3D, I'll take care of it. If you are interested in VR videos, please leave a comment here or write to me. I want to know how big the interest in VR videos is.
The images of Seline attached here are images from the render scene in an uncompressed state. I.e. Before encoding the video. I also made a comparison. Uncompressed raw footage PNG format to H.264 video codec MP4. I tweaked the H.264 settings for a long time until I was satisfied.
I think this engine has opened a door that will take the videos to another level.
Seline's BIO video is already in 4K. It's worth a look.
