Pitches wanted (Pride) | $100-$250 per article

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: PRIDE SOURCE

Deadline: 8 April 2024

Chris Azzopardi, Editorial Director of Pride Source, is looking for pitches:
Attention, LGBTQ+ writers! It's that time of year again—my call for Pride pitches, after locking in some really terrific ones! Special attention given to stories leaning into defiant joy and stubborn hope in the face of a challenging political and social era for queer folks.

Please do give our pitch guidelines a look—there's some critical details here! Like how very important a Michigan angle is. And rates/contact info, of course!

And while I'm at it (and to give you a better idea of what we tend to say "yes" to), here's just a few projects we've commissioned from great storytellers that I'm proud of:

• We Left Christianity But It Didn't Leave Us: Being Ex-Christian in Relationships: https://pridesource.com/article/we-left-christianity-but-it-didnt-leave-us-being-ex-christian-in-relationships

• How Birdwatching Helped Me Find My Queer Community — and Myself: https://pridesource.com/article/how-birdwatching-helped-me-find-my-queer-community-and-myself

• Finding a Wedding Dress Authentic to My Identity As a Queer Pakistani Woman: https://pridesource.com/article/finding-a-wedding-dress-authentic-to-my-identity-as-a-queer-pakistani-woman

We'll be accepting Pride-specific pitches through April 8.
