Yes, you're right, but the smooth behavior of the animations is my priority. My videos are actually much too big because the bitrate is very high. But I think to myself, those who bother can change the bit rate easily. Which inevitably leads to poorer quality.
My source material is 'AVI'. I haven't found any suitable avi to mp3 conversion method in Sony Vegas yet.
I would prefer to stay with AVI, but not every Windows supports it. What does it mean that the user will knock on my door. I've had that in the past. As you know best, I initially had AVI.

Compressed video will always look lower in quality, no matter what. I'm not good on what actually is the best compromise, but I'm sure there are a bunch of tutorials out there. Best of luck!
