2025-11-12 22:39:45 +0000 UTCI remember Kitas first appearance had a lot of fans scared about his power level bc of his character design, a lot like βwho is this parallel world Kageyama??!!β That he was gonna be a tendou or Oikawa but itβs funny now in retrospect that he is a threat just not in the same way, he is in many ways similar to Kageyama in his discipline but in a different life where Kageyama wasnβt innately skilled and more well balanced or rounded in all aspects of life, such is the curse of a genius one might conclude; I do also find it poignant that Kita comes after a string of character arcs for Tanaka, Kenma, etc of the guys that are βnormalβ or have NO CHOICE but to be diligent which again props to mangaka Furudate with his themes and storytelling, Haikyu more than any other story Iβve seen has delved into the philosophy of a genius vs a normal person and the struggle there is in that and itβs not necessarily cut and dry, commentary on effort, willpower, and how it affects lifestyle or insight to oneβs mental state, he seems very reflective and on some high emotional wisdom shit

Thereβs just something so inspiring about how he diligently works hard every day, and I feel like his solid work ethic, dedication and attentiveness is something so understated in everyday life yet is so important when building up a sense of who you are. Itβs also so crucial when trying to keep a team of super talented individuals together too, since he acts as sort of a rock to everyone elseβs flow. Iβve never thought about it in an idol sense before until you mentioned it but thatβs so true especially for idols who train for years on end before seeing any sort of success! Loved this reaction, keen for the next!
