2020-10-27 20:53:43 +0000 UTCAt the 1:14:00 mark, I think I realized what you want this to be Patrick: you want this to be the 1983 Canadian animated musical Rock N Rule. It has the same themes (music and the apocalypse and rivaling genres and gratuity all over the place) but it likes itself more than The Apple does. Also, our main characters (who are like Bibi and Alphie, but more "edgy" and with more agency) defeat the bad guy (a Satanic rock star who is some mix between Frank-N-Furter, Mick Jagger and Norma Desmond) with the power of song. This production and reception was just as hectic as The Apple's, if not more so, and it's irritating but bearable and makes more sense. Although, beware of nuclear puns
